How does the BYOD part of this promo work? Do they verify that you activated a device that wasn't previously on their network?

Can you/someone help with below queries?

1. Never had T-mobile. Can you advise which plan would you choose for this offer?
2. Sign up for 20% hookup offer before porting in to t-mobile (where to do that? I went to insider.t-mobile but it asks for phone number and exclusive code, from where do I get that code? Do i need to do that for all 4 lines?
3. Go to costco and open new t-mo account and add 3 lines first and then add 4th line a day later which would be free line? Would all of them need to be added in store? Also, is there a credit check for opening new t-mo account?
4. Submit costco rebate for $100 costco cash card. Any idea if we need to have active membership with costco to receive that $100 card? My membership is expiring end of this month.
5. Submit t-mo rebate for $250 GC.

Pls advise if I am missing anything?

Also, what is the phone deal that is being talked here in this thread?
This would def help ppl who are new to T-Mobile, def keep us posted if you find out your answers.

Not sure. Anyone can contact T-mobile CS to double check on this, which I will do.

But the wait time for CS to response is insane now, considering how many deals T has right now.
Ok, i got through and called T-mobile. So apparently I got a CS that is a supervisor who has been with t-mobile for 10+ years. She said that I would qualify for $250 rebate promo even if the new line was added at Costco, because they are adding a t-mobile line. She read the terms carefully and made sure my plan qualified for this promo.

Now the bad news: After she said i qualified, I bought a ATT number on ebay while she was still talking. I told her give me a minute to find my pin# and account #. it was after I bought the number that she told me that the ported in number has to be a Postpaid number, not prepaid! I am pretty sure all numbers bought on ebay for porting are prepaid numbers! Argggh. Well, at that point since I already bought the number (which expires in 3 days), i went ahead with the port anyways. i guess we will see.

Long story short, this supervisor confirmed you can still get the rebate if you did the add in at Costco byod, but it has to be a postpaid number you are porting.

This doesn't mean you will get both 250 from tmb and 100 from Costco (but it may). I would submit the tmobile rebate before the Costco.

It only has to be a phone that is currently not listed on your account. it could be a phone that was previously on your account but not anymore.

So when you're signing up, you just have to give them the IMEI?

So i have Tmobile One and added the free line yesterday. Basically to get the $250 i would have to buy a number from ebay, speak to rep and request to port that ebay number to the newly opened free line?

I'm see some talk of doimg it at Costco but i assume thats if buying new phone.

There is a chance she might have misinterpreted. When she read it to me, it says valid on postpaid lines only. It could have meant that the line you added is a postpaid line, not the line you are porting from. She says it is both ways that have to be postpaid, but she may have misinterpreted it. That doesn't really make any sense
