That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

No go. Contacted Sprint Chat support and she said that first we need to reactivate closed Sprint account and contact 4727 number for $250 BYOD offer. Looks like they complicated the port in offers eligibility after T-Mobile merger.

Rep's msg - for that offer you need to contact our dedicated porting team on 1-888-211-4727.
The promo definitely exists for both sprint and T-Mobile, but you have to reopen any lines you closed in the past 90 days. Your best bet would be to get the sprint account fully deleted and get rid of your ssn on the sprint account so you can open up a T-Mobile account and do this promo(pair with hookup so you pay less)

My Visible MVNO number come up as Verizon wireless number on https://freecarrierlookup.com/; [freecarrierlookup.com] would that not work either?
Since it's owned by Verizon, it might be OK. IF freecarrierlookup shows what Tmobile sees when they port in, and it's Verizon, then you'd think it would be like Cricket and be fine. They've kind of created a mess here.

I would think it's OK but definitely try to get an official Tmobile source if possible.

It's on sprintpromotionshub, that's what matters.
Do you have to add promo code while adding the line? There is a field to submit promo code when adding devices to the cart. I don't remember if I added $300 promo code offer when I did that promo back in March.

Thanks.

I don't think it's a big deal for T-mo to give a $250 GC on a free line. The purpose of their BYOD deal is to get people to port in from a competitor and taking customers from the competitors (not withstanding the people who bought phone numbers on Ebay), The people who got a free line are already paying customers. Giving them an extra line won't hurt T-mo much.
Yeah buying numbers from eBay makes this easier for us to use this promo. And to iwheela, yes free line can get $250 promo. It's confirmed on T-Mobile reddit multiple times

How do you ensure that number from eBay is indeed AT&T number and not from AT&T MVNO?
You most likely will not be getting an ATT proper phone # and account credentials on ebay for $6. It will be a hole in the wall ATT MVNO that you've probably never heard of. . .

At least that's been my experience purchasing these, and the fact that they are selling them for $6 or $7 (and usually cheaper at under $5)

Hey, yeah it's the same code as T-Mobile's "2020BYOD1", it runs from 9/18/20 -9/30/20.

Oh and I used this site for the $300 as well, I think promo code was byodget300 or something

Its very confusing going thru all the posts. Can some one please post steps to replicate the deal as a new customer. Thank you for your help.

Here is what I am assuming and correct me if I am wrong.
1. Buy ATT numbers from Ebay - 4 of them.
2. Open new account with Tmobile. Order SIM(s) - 4 of them. Pay the charges for SIMs.
3. Beg for inside type 1 code in the meanwhile while waiting for the sims.
4. Go to https://insider.t-mobile.com/, enter the code and 1 phone number you will port.
5. Once sim arrive, active them online, pick Megenta plan (140 for 4 lines).
6. While activating enter code "2020BYOD1" for all 4 lines..
7. Wait for the rebate..

I am I correct or missing anything please.. Thanks

I'm rooting for it to be true, but no one has really been able to confirm it yet. I'm not even sure you can get the free line with this deal, let alone free line with $250 gift card.

Lot's of confusion:

So let's say you port over 2 lines, do you get a 3rd line free for a total of $500 in gift cards?

Or let's say you port over 2 lines, do you get a 3rd line free in addition to a 3rd $250 gift card for a total of $750? Even though you only ported 2 lines?

Yes on the rebate site you had to enter purchase date + 300BYOD2020 to get to the form to fill out (in March deal anyways). But on the sprint site when ordering service it was about clicking through to the right page with promo as opposed to entering a code

For the rebate, what are the typical status states again? Is it:

What are the steps for transferring in a free Xfinity Mobile line to my Military plan? Just go to account, transfer in a line, and enter promo 2020BYOD1? Or when do you enter the promo code?

I bought two AT&T phone numbers yesterday for about $7 each from seller ignatto. The account number for those numbers look "right" when compared to my current AT&T postpaid account number.

Why would you need an insider code? The promo is 2020BYOD1
