If we are good with Sprint after reactivation, $100/month for four lines and back will be $800 which is better than T-M.
I'm not going to add 8 lines on Sprint.

Remember, at least for me, I have to activate recently canceled lines, ~then~ add more lines for the promo. Nope, no way.

I'm porting three numbers from AT&T. All numbers were obtained from ebay.

Once I get the sim cards from t-mobile, do I actually have to put it in a phone? Or can I just register the lines for the promotions without having to do that?
You can register the lines for the promo w/o doing anything with the sim cards. You'll simply have to wait for the new lines to be assigned a number before you can port a new one in over them. Once that happens, you can port in and register for the promotion.

Attention, it does not.
When you try to submit the rebate, it says in red that Carrier Freedom doesn't combine with this rebate. Carrier Freedom afaik is their offer to pay what you owe for your phone.
Attention, it really does. I didn't do the Carrier Freedom promo. The one I did was the 'keep and switch' promo which does indeed stack with this rebate. It's a bit different than Carrier Freedom where you actually keep your phone vs have to trade it in and the max reimbursement is $450 vs $650 on Carrier Freedom. Also, the keep and switch is only for Verizon and AT&T port-ins.

looks like stores charge $10 (sim)+$30 (activation) for each line?
I called my local T-mo (corporate owned) store today. The agent told me they charge $30 activation fee, plus tax, per line, but no charge for the SIM.
If you order online, T-mo charges $10 per SIM, but the $30 activation fee is waived if you don't need a rep's assistance with ordering.

fwiw, I was happy with seller "re-lux". It was the second # I purchased after T-Force mentioned the number I got from "dealers_portal" was a t-mobile prepaid number.

Yes to first question. Everyone is porting in A&T eBay numbers that I assume are all newly created accounts.

What are all of you folks doing with the purchased numbers off ebay? What is the math on it? Will it be $250 max profit ? What's the catch?

Yeah buying numbers from eBay makes this easier for us to use this promo. And to iwheela, yes free line can get $250 promo. It's confirmed on T-Mobile reddit multiple times
Buying numbers from eBay is still a line that AT&T lost in the end.
