How did you sign up ? in store / online or in store?
Entered insider hookup code online and then completed order with rep via chat. Note that if you go the chat route they may try to stick you with $20 per line "assistance fee" but the rep waived it. So my out of pocket cost today was just $10 per SIM card.

Just signed up for Magenta 4 lines w/ Insider Hookup 20% for BYOD.

Plan will be $140 per mo before 20% insider hookup, $112 after. This compares to about $100 per month i have been paying on Xfinity for inferior service. Worth the additional $$ for the better service plus perks, and hopeful additional free additional lines.

I'll get $250 per line for BYOD. 4x$250=$1000

I owed $1489.89 on my four devices, which I paid off and of which I'll get back $1412.73 from carrier freedom. If I owed exactly $450 per device I would get $1800 but some are <450 and one is >450.

All in, I'm making about $900 by switching from Xfinity:

+$1000 BYOD
+$1412.73 Carrier Freedom
-$1489.89 device pay off
————
+$922.84
Doesn't the offer terms specifically say it cannot be combined with Carrier Freedom?

There's two types of Carrier Freedom, BYOD and trade in. It's eligible if you're bringing over a device, not if trading in.

I see in the fine print that there has to be a "port-in from AT&T, Verizon, US Cellular, Spectrum, Claro or Xfinity."

Do port-ins from MVNOs like Tracfone qualify? I currently use a TracFone on the Verizon Network.
It is very contradicting, people here said it is OK,but another verified T-mobile staff from Reddit said that is not possible.
Yesterday I chat with online T-mobile rep, the rep said that is OK. but the rep even did not know what is MVNO, I have to explain what is MVNO to him/her. So I do not trust 100% of what he/she said.
I am using AT&T MVNO now.

My order shipped.

Shall I call tmobile to start port in process?
You can start the port-in process once you have a phone number assigned to your new line from T-Mobile.

oh I went here and going by their description, I'd need code 2: https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/.../?sort=new

only problem is I havent been able to get a code over there yet.
