That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

I created a new account and ordered 4 SIMS but rep waived activation but not SIM charge.

Now I can port once I have my SIMS?

And then apply for rebate once port is complete?

How can I set up portal access to their site? Rep didn't give any temporary phone numbers?

Appreciate your help

1. Add new T-Mobile line. Looks like you're at this step.
2. Port in phone number (from AT&T, Verizon, etc.) to that line once your new line is setup with a T-Mobile assigned number.
3. Submit rebate online at https://promotions.t-mobile.com/ with promo code 2020BYOD1 within 30 days of purchase.
Thank you for the quick info

I actually used 4 codes for 4 numbers but i would like to know if one code is sufficient
For the 20% insider hookup code, you just need 1 code for the entire account.

Yes, go buy one from the store but it's not likely you'll get it for free. If there's an Apple store close by, they have been know to give sim cards away for free especially if you're flashing an iPhone are ask nicely so that could be an option to try.
Thanks and repped. I want to port in 4 lines from Xfinity, so the 3rd line should be free automatically without putting in any promo code? So by the end of the day, I am paying three lines, but have 4 line service? Thanks.

Also do I port in one line first, then port 3 remaining lines afterwards, or I could do the 4 line port together? I guess it doesn't matter if I port the 4 lines from different carriers to one account, it doesn't affect the rewards. Thanks

You need t-mobile sims if you are creating t-mobile account.
Sorry to bother, I just found several Tmobile sims, some are used, some are new, so can I possibly use them? Thanks.

Here is the sequence
1. Signup Hookup code type 1 using the any one of the numbers you will port. Research this on a separate SD thread about it. I got the code from link below
This is great! It's super helpful Applause

I'm going to port-in 4 lines (BYOD) and I registered for the hook up 20% type 1 yesterday (9/22).

I will be out of hook from previous Verizon deal on Oct 2nd, so here are my questions:

#1 - When will be a good time to place an order (Magenta plan) as new customer under BYOD? Someone mentioned that it may take up to 5 days to receive my sim cards.
I'm planing to order the sim cards this Friday (9/25).

#2 - Am I still eligible for the hook up promotion if I activate my Tmo service on Oct. 3rd?

#3 - Does my Tmo billing cycle start from (9/25) or after I activated my service on Oct. 3rd?

Thanks!

I also want to port in 4 lines, so the Megenta plan is the cheapest eligible for the rewards? Thanks.

Do they track phone numbers like this? I'm under the assumption (with nothing else to base this on) that once a number is port out, it means nothing to them anymore. I wouldn't worry about it as you are porting in an AT&T number per the offer terms and that's all that matters.
Wrong assumption. I don't know how anal T-mo is about it, but AT&T tried to deny BYOD rewards for numbers that had been with AT&T years ago. They call it a "win back" number. At least, I think T-mo and Sprint only require the number to be ported out from T-mo/Sprint 90 days ago or more. That's to prevent current customers from switching out for a short term, then switch back as "new customers" to qualify for deals.

Can you post instructions on how to get and use the 20% hookup code? I went to the reddit thread, found a bunch of codes, went to the website, put in the phone number i want to port in + one of the random type 1 codes I found in the reddit thread, then it brought me to a login page? I got lost from there.

also, do i need one code per line i'm porting? so if i'm porting 4 numbers, do i need 4 hookup codes?

I am in a similar situation. My order shows $160 instead of $140. I just chatted with an online agent who said not to worry. Once I have autopay setup, my first bill would show $140.
I don't trust the rep on that, since the order details show the monthly cost is $180, before $20 autopay reduces it to $160.

Yes, you can cancel L3 AFTER 1 year from the date you added the free 5th line (2020 Line on us 2) or you will end up losing BOTH your free L4 and L5 and any EIP discounts on L4 and L5

Do not add any more lines that require discounts or your 1 year will further extends.

For example you could have canceled your L3 on 7/1/2021 (say you added L4 on 6/28/20). However, today you add free L5, now your new 1 year resets to the date after the statement cycle that includes 9/22/2021. Wait until that statement closes after 9/22/2021 before you cancel paid L3.

Question for the T-mobile experts here:

I have T-mobile One (SOC is FRLTULF2) . I have 5 lines total on this account, the most recent of which are 2 free lines.

When I first signed up with T-mobile back in the day, I signed up for 2 lines. Those lines are the primary lines that have One Plus, and I do not want to cancel them. A year later, I added a third paid line. And then this year, I have added the 2 free lines per the recent promos offered.

I really do not need 5 lines. Can I cancel the third paid line and not mess up anything on my account? I don't want to mess with the two free lines or the other two paid primary lines. I do not have any outstanding device bills on the third line, but I do on one of the primary lines and one of the free lines, if any of that even matters.

Thanks for any help. I would really like to ditch that 3rd paid line if possible.

For the sole purpose of a quick profit from this deal and closing the account right after the receipt of the rebate cards:

4 lines on the Essential plan are still going to be cheaper than 4 lines on Magenta with 20% off Hookup code, correct?

- 4 lines on Essential: $105 plus taxes
- 4 lines on Magenta: $112 (140 * 0.8) plus taxes

Is anyone else doing it just to 'score' the 'free' $700 (1000 less cost of service for 2 months, SIM costs, ATT number costs)?
