Don't you also lose a hard credit pull and need FOUR unlocked phones? If approved, they'll text you links to redeem those GC. I don't know if it's needed to be 4 different phones though, but rep told me I do need 4 unlocked phones hence "BYOD", lol. I do have 5 phones, but they're being used w/ 5 different lines already. Any suggestion for easier method to avoid 4 more unlocked phones?

I'm still mulling this over. Seems almost doesn't worth the headaches for netting $700ish? What happens if it takes 3 billing cycles, since you cannot time it perfectly and cancellation is NOT pro-rated. So then net even less than $700... Am I right?
I was told on Reddit by a verified T-Mobile employee you don't need four separate phones. I believe they also send the redemption notice via email.

How soon can you port out a tmobile number to att prepaid (this I was told minutes) to port back to tmobile with this promo? Any restriction on keeping the number on att for x days or any issues with $250 rebate? Thanks.

It works for folks who move over their actual lines and/ or some other ones to a max of 4 lines
For sure worthwhile for those who want to join Tmobile long term. But I was replying to above poster asking about "open, get rebate cards, then close immediately" to quickly profit $700 and be done!

I actually used 4 codes for 4 numbers but i would like to know if one code is sufficient
I'd rather do all just in case. But, the sales guy told me use one for each port number.

That's good to know, but when I registered it sent a text (not email) to confirm my submission. It seems like the rebate process communicates via text messages. I don't even remember the rebate asking for your email.

On the t-mobile rebate form do I login with the new ported number or the main number on the account?
NVM, figured it out. It's the main number then you select the new number once logged in

Anyone know if you can port the numbers over online or if the only way to port over is through the phone call?

Just one hookup code per account, NOT PER LINE! I'm 100000% positive. Did this for several years and for many already. Been w/ Tmobile for a long time, so I'm not giving you something I don't know for sure. When you enter all 4 codes, it can get messed up in the rebate system.

Hmm I don't remember that being the case on my last go around. BUT if that is the current case, you could simply wait for the submission process to complete. Then pop each SIM card in the same phone and you should till get the text message after a bit.

Yes, call 611 or Tmobile 800, or chat w/ 611 support if you have text capability.

I don't trust the rep on that, since the order details show the monthly cost is $180, before $20 autopay reduces it to $160.
I think you can trust them. On my other account, which was opened/activated 3 days ago in store, initially showed $155 for the 4 lines on Magenta plan. Only 10 minutes ago I checked the account and saw my first bill. It showed $112 ($140, less 20%) only. The insider type 1 code was already applied to the first bill! I think that we have to calm down and let the system work itself out for at least 3 days. If we followed the account opening and activation process properly, the billing system would work itself out as expected. Big Grin
