Well definitely asking for a credit check. And asking for Drivers License info. Not sure I've ever been asked for both.

A credit check is to check your credit worthiness. The Driver's License info is to confirm your ID.

Hpham is correct. Also, you can just check rebate status, or when it's approved claim/print the e-rebate card here:

https://promotions.t-mobile.com/

Just sign into TMO before going to that page, and when there enter one of your account phone #'s (it doesn't matter which #) under check status. . .

Edit: Duh, same page you submit rebates. Long day. . .

Of course I have to use Incognito to access TMO, as on normal Chrome it 404's TMO and only allows Sprint. Cause it still thinks I'm S. . .
Thank you so much both of you.

Thanks! Not the end of the world. Just have never seen both before. And now of course it's saying I'm a Spring customer. Even though I haven't been one in several months. 3-4. I remember someone else having this problem so I'll look it up. Hopefully it doesn't disqualify me from the deal.

Ugh I did port one Sprint free BYOD phone number to Tello. Wonder if that's the problem.

If you can still log into your Sprint account, then you're Sprint cursed like many of us.

oh he's definitely grumpy!

btw - do you know if the hookup registration needs to match anything on the tmobile account other than phone number? My wife started the process by doing the hookup when we thought she would create the account, but now that I'm making an account for my FIL, I'd prefer not to use my wife's email address.

Sorry, I don't use the hookup code and know nothing about it.

Is it really because of being a previous Sprint customer? I haven't actually had it under my name in over 2 years and I have the same log in issues with T-Mobile. Have to use incognito. The app screws up often as well. Only gets fixed by clearing all data for the app.

Well aren't you the bearer of bad news tonight ha! Yes, I just checked and even though I ported out in July, I can still log in with a $0.00 balance. And last payment was July 15 at $4.43. So I'm screwed on this Tmobile $250 BYOD deal completely?

The AT&T numbers that I bought from seller ignatto appear to be postpaid AT&T numbers. Their 12-digit account numbers match the format of my postpaid AT&T account. (But I don't know what a prepaid AT&T account number looks like).
I bought one from the same seller and got the 12 digit act number. Haven't tried to port the number yet. Can you please share your experience with porting the number from that seller!

They're having a tough time the way they set things up in allowing allowing access to Sprint website to Sprint Customers or those they deem Sprint customers or recent customers. . .while at the same time diverting everyone else to TMO website. And evidently trouble with Who qualifies as well!!!

This instead of leaving Sprint website up for all, and just doing a mandatory Sprint sign in popup before they can navigate/fully see the homepage or anything else. But I guess they are trying to erase S to the rest of the world.

You can do like me and Cardboardbox, do the deal using the info of a relative who has never had an account with Sprint. You can also do like some others, go to a local store and let the agent sort out the mess, and pay $30 per line for assist/activation fee.

If it's the same seller I got from listed on the forum about 1 number for $6.50 Within an hour or else you get 5.... I just bought one this am... got a 872 number which was only left... got the account, phone number and pin and ported with the T-Mobile rep on chat... it worked

I asked on Reddit for a code this morning and haven't got anything. Somebody suggested opening Discord account/ticket and get it sooner. I tried to create a Discord account and although I worked in IT for 35 years I couldn't wrap my head around its site structure. Social Networking sites are not my thing. Probably too late for me to use a hookup code anyway because I already created my account and ported in. The hookup code sounds like the Sprint referral concept, you have to pre-register before opening/activating your account.
