That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

I don't know how the system works. I was worried but pleasantly surprised to see 2 lines free on my. Seeing $120 for 4 lines. Placed order on 9/23 arrived on 9/25 but didn't port in until today. No idea what qualifies vs not.

I did get a call from someone after placing the order to verify everything with the order. Did you get a call? Not sure if that's the difference
No call.

can anyone explain why there is so much stress around SIM cards arriving on time for this $250 rebate?
This promo ends on 10/1/20, just a few days away. That's why people are worried that their orders won't be processed soon enough to get the lines activated by 10/1/20.

Hi,
Sorry to post Sprint related question here. Could you help me and see if I am eligible for Sprint $250 BYOD. I have asked before, but got different answers, so I am really undecided. Thanks in advance.

I had the $300 Sprint promo with 5 lines, got the GC, then ported 4 lines to H20 about 50 days ago, I currently still have one line left, so if I add 4 more BYOD line, do the added lines qualify for $250 G? I got different opinion from folks here, some said that I am not eligible, as my ported out lines are not away for 90 days. I think the "reactivate cancelled lines " does not apply to me either, as I still have one active lines with Sprint?

I would greatly appreciate if you or any pro could comment?

thank u. but thats exactly my question. im a TMO n00b so maybe im missing something here. im trying to understand for my own benefit and hopefully clarify some myths.

why cant someone subscribe as a new TMO customer now and port in ASAP without having SIMs or the devices? you just need the phone number for the hookup code and 250 rebate right? arent lines activated immediately?

is it because you need the SIMs on a device to get the code and create a TMO ID? i thought you can get help via TForce or via phone call to get things setup for TMO ID.

just trying to understand the full issue here. also, i thought the rebate deadline was 9/30.

can anyone explain why there is so much stress around SIM cards arriving on time for this $250 rebate? its been mentioned in the wiki and many posts stating "when SIMs arrive..." ive been reading through this thread. still reading. i dont get it. dont you buy a SIM online, get a number, port to replace that number and fill out the rebate. no?

is there some kind of activation via device requirement before submitting the rebate?
I don't know about the others, but mine came all pre-activated already and I made test calls to confirm. Dontknow There is no device requirement and you don't need four devices to register for four rebates. Just follow the terms posted by the OP, and you should be fine. hug

thank you. and just to confirm, what was the timing of your rebate submission? did you submit your port in number even before getting the SIMs?

I submitted last Friday, and yes. You should still have enough time. From OP:

4. After activation, submit rebate online at https://promotions.t-mobile.com/ with promo code 2020BYOD1 within 30 days of purchase.

When the rep asks if you have the sims with you, just say yes...then the rep will process the porting...

To port in, you will need either your SIM card number or temp number with your account pin that you created during order placement....porting from wireless carriers will complete in less than 24hrs, since most ppl here port from ATT eBay number port in should be done in half hour...the rep will tell you if the port completes or has error(s)

You can port in as soon as your T-Mobile account is created, no need to wait for the sim arrival if you have the temp number...

T-Mobile will not ask for IMEI during activation/ordering, only ask IMEI for rebate submission

Quote from hpham_53 :
They've changed the requirements. IMEI is not required when registering for the rebate. It asks you to log into your T-mo account, then select from a drop-down list of phone numbers which one to submit the rebate claim for, personal info, and which phone number to receive the confirmation/reward link.
thank you for the clarification. you dont need IMEI for this $250 rebate promo, but you have to make sure the ported number shows up within your account right? given the time crunch, wondering if we just submit the promo under the old number would work?

Quote from Fun2s :
I didn't see IMEI request while submitting rebate request. They did ask me for it while porting in my 2nd line (I have ported 2 till now)
could you please give more info? why would the need IMEI for port? im pretty sure you dont.

thank you. not sure why the terms state "within 30 days of purchase." doesnt the promo expire on 9/30 or 10/01? not sure if anyone should take the risk and wait 30 days past the stated promo period if people were to open new lines today.

call support. with a helpful agent, you should be able to do everything over the phone to get things set up. get your numbers and submit the promos. you shouldnt need your SIM or devices. it just makes things more difficult though.

worst case, go into a store to grab the necessary info for the promos.

I am porting a number from ATT to Tmobile. Can they activate with temp number and setup everything over phone?

yes. but if possible, i would go into a store because you dont have time. you get everything ASAP and if they need to issue you another SIM, you get it on the spot. think about this: when new customers walk into a store, many choose to port-in on the spot right? devices may not be in stock, but they at least have the SIMs. well, why couldnt that be you?
