Is it good idea to buy another ATT number from ebay and port it with this number instead of using existing tello number?
I'd pay around $7 for an AT&T number to improve the odds of getting $250.

Thanks for helping me. Going it with ATT number. It is $10 tello plan anyway. Not much savings by moving into Tmobile. Kid can use all these extra lines if needed. Waiting for ATT numbers. Going to Call TM for porting after receiving ATT numbers. is there any trick to get refund of activation fee which I paid at store to get Sim cards?

Chat rep I activated ATT eBay lines with told me typically there are activation fees, but in the same message said he was taking care of them for me today. Didn't have to ask. YMMV obviously. Store will 100% for sure charge you $20 extra per line activated so it's worth trying to get SIM alone and do it through chat I'd say
How do you get Sims from the store? I guess they don't sell just the Sims. They must activate those in store, is that not correct?

Can I order online or call to add the lines, is there any benefit to getting it in store ?

I heard store will not sell you Sims. They can only activate. What to tell the store to get just the Sims?

I had a bust at an authorized retailer store, and a win at a corporate owned store to buy SIM only no activation for $10 each.

From what I can tell, if it says T-Mobile store under a particular location, it is a corporate store, if it says anything else, it is not. Probably worth calling ahead to make sure they will do it.

Assuming today is last day, we might not have time to order online. They activate (using temp line numbers) the lines when they process the order. They will take 1 - 2 days to process some times. Go to store and do everything if you already have numbers to port in.

As mentioned in other posts, a T-mo corporate store sees their purpose as serving current/potential customers and is more likely to give away or sell SIMs alone, waive fees, etc. A T-mo authorized dealer is there to make a living by selling stuff, earning commissions on opening new lines, and unlikely to sell you just the SIMs or waive fees. Google for T-mo stores in your area. If there are T-mo corporate stores, go there first.

Once activated , Can I just leave the sims not unused and wait for the rebate or do I need to use sim in a device to qualify. Thanks

The issue is at this point promo ends today. Unless they happen to ship the SIMs yet today, the lines won't be active during promo period. SIMs ship activated with a place holder number which is fine, but you are taking a chance as terms say line must be activated by 10/1 and rebate can be submitted after porting number up to 30 days later.

At this point you are best going to a store to attempt to obtain SIMs directly from them, but it can apparently be a challenge to actually find a store willing to sell them alone. See my post above for advice on corporate vs authorized locations, although that is just a theory using my own logic, not a sure thing. No reason not to call ahead to confirm with your particular store.

I am not sure about this. I have 4 unlocked iphones to put the Sim's in. You need IMEI number to port anyway. Not sure if they can port all 4 SIM's using same IMEI number.

I use 4 separate phones because I have them. Some people use one phone and juggle the SIMs to get the texts sent to each number.
