That would be a sweet deal then. I know I added 4 new lines with TMO thru Costco in July. I summited my rebates for $100 each line that same night. Then I ordered 4 new phones from TMO online by doing a upgrade on those lines. Well anyways those lines qualified for T-mobile current promos because it was done within the 14 day remorse period.

I bought 2 iPhone SE 2020 for $200 off each, a one plus 8 for $350 off and a iPhone 11 for $700 off with eligible port in plus trading in a iPhone 8. So most people on Slickdeals told me I would not get both Promo. Anyways I just checked on rebate status yesterday and I was approved for all 4 rebates and it said mailing date was 9-17. I'm pretty stoked about this deal.

You said the 20% hookup code date is very strict, how so? Do you need to activate and use the code on the same day?
The hookup promo ended on 9/30, and he got/submitted the code on 10/1.

Your hookup submission was denied because the Hookup promo already ended on 9/30/20 (per the Reddit info), before you got the code. The BYOP promo, on the other hand, ends today 10/1/20.
Correct, they(one of the store reps) even explained to me that the code will still be distributed/generated after 9/30 but the promo entered will not be applied

I'm trying to do the same thing you did. I ported a line over from AT&T on 9/19 and the BYOD device happened to be an S7Edge. I applied for the $250 rebate already. I heard the rebate is contingent upon porting in the number and bringing your own device which is exactly what I did. So now the ported line becomes an existing line and I want to trade in the S7Edge for the S20FE and get $500 off. The only reason I see why it won't work is if the IMEI of the S7Edge needs to stay on your account until the $250 rebate is approved but I'm not sure if the IMEI has anything to do with the $250 BYOD deal.

If you preorder and did it online, I would wait as long as possible to send in the S7EDGE and keep using it until the deadline to send it in is near in case the rebate is contingent on the IMEI staying on that ported line. That should give you about 30 days total since you submit the $250 rebate.

I'm thinking about going that route and ordering online instead of just trading in the phone in store to keep the IMEI on that line on longer. I don't really care about the $70 Samsung Promo since I already received that on an existing paid line that I used to trade in the S7EDGE and applied the $200 hookup code. So yes I already traded in one S7Edge on a paid existing line but now I want to trade another one in on a ported free line before the $500 promo is over.
The phone I traded in wasn't the one I have been using or is attached to my BYOD transfer. So I still have my BYOD phone that I have been using with my ported ATT number and could theoretically put the sim card back in that phone. But I don't think that will make a difference. The problem is, I have been reading the rebate is attached to my phone number. Since my phone number is attached to my upgraded S20FE with an EIP, I am not sure whether my rebate will be approved.

I agree with you, I think I followed the terms and my rebate should be validated. I ported in a ATT number with my own phone. I didn't take advantage of any additional line promos (free/discounted phone for opening a new line) when I opened my new line. I only used an upgrade promo after I fulfilled my obligation of opening a new line with my own device and porting in a number from ATT.

But I have been reading that when it comes to approving the rebate, they look at your phone number and if it has any phone promos attached to it, they will deny the rebate. If I am denied, I will bring up the same points I have made here. If the terms had said the rebate will be invalid if you upgrade your phone before your rebate is approved, then fine. That criteria was not spelled out anywhere.

I have 20% hookup discount, $20 auto pay discount, $30 2020 3d line on us discount. Total is $136 per month for 4 lines with Magenta plus plan. Hook up discount applied with main line is valid for all the lines. Megenta plus plan price is the final price including taxes and all I think.
My extra lines are listed with unknown device. Not sure if it is good idea to pop in Sim's into unused phones to be safe side.

Thanks

I put in the same name and address (Main account holder information). I think, it is better to put in this way than other person name.

The terms of the $250 BYOD promo (see attachment) say "May not be combined with some offers or discounts". If T-mo considers upgrading your phone at a favorable price "an offer or discount", your $250 BYOD rebate could be denied.

So has this promo been extended again? The $250 BYOD is still showing up under current promotions and hookup codes are still working.

I entered same name for all, because they are all under 1 account. personally I do not think it really matters.

No, please read my previous posts. Hookup promo has been ended, the code is still distributing but promo will not apply.

From what i am told, BYOD promo will end if you didnt activate the lines by 23:59pm tonight.

The $250 BYOD ends today 10/1. Please explain what you meant by "hookup codes are still working". According to info on Reddit, the hookup discount ended yesterday 9/30 (although codes are still being given out).

Totally agree. But If I was T-Mobile I would be more concerned with people using this promo to open 4 new lines, grabbing $1k worth of rebates, and cancelling right after the rebates clear. At least anyone that takes advantage of an upgrade with an EIP is probably going to stay with them for 2 years in order to benefit from the phone promo.

I'm sure their marketing and accounting staff had taken that into consideration. This isn't the first time they run a BYOD offer. In fact, they ran one in April-May this year and the rebate was only $200 per line ported in (max 4 rebates). This time they bumped it up to $250, so the previous promo apparently didn't hurt their pocket.

Haven't checked this site in a while.
Does anyone know if the $250 will be good if you finance a phone on this line?

Today in the store the rebate rep kept asking me this question, 2-3 times. All my phones are paid in full. It sounds like there is some risk there.
