I would never buy faux leather anything. In the words of the late, great PIMP C: "It's the difference between real leather and that S*** at your house!" lol

Yea Faux Leather isn't the greatest, but don't think any of the massage chairs (near this price point) come with real leather. Let me know if I'm wrong I might return this thing if so Smilie

These things have crazy markup. I started looking at an Osaki, then realized how the pricing game works on these. I used the text chat for an online massage chair reseller, asked to match a previous sale on a Synca jp1100, and was instantly matched via a promo code. I love my chair and use it at least once a day now. If you know the chair you want, then try asking for a price match. The worse they can say is no, but chances are, you'll be given a decent price with minimal effort.

I'm still waiting for it to drop back down to that price.

I started researching chairs and realized that even some in the $10k price range are using synthetic leather. It got me wondering if maybe this is intentional and that real leather doesn't work as well with all of the moving parts. Of course, this doesn't rule out the possibility that not all faux leather is created equal either.

Without any visibility into this, all I can think of is trying to find someone who's had one of these chairs for years and regularly used it, and see how they think the chair is holding up.

That's smart! Did you use HD chat to get the price match? Thanks
