If I buy now and do the price adjustment I'm potentially missing out on the additional 2 years of warranty, correct?

STOP COMPLAINING. If all you ever do is worry about the price don't buy the dang thing. Buy something that you feel like its a great price and if it drops who cares.

I've been so enamored of the LG OLED CX, but this is tempting. With 4K HDR, does this look similar to the OLED panel, or is there a huge difference?

yeah it looks great.....my local bestbuy has this and Sony oled next to each other and you could see the different between this and the oled. It's not a huge difference but you could tell

Sure keep buying and returning and jacking the price up for everyone. Or be patient and not buy which will drive Costco to lower the price even further. Its a pretty scumbag move to buy a TV you found on a deal site only to complain about the price going farther down on a deal site. Pull your pants up and wait.

Makes me wonder if this is the reason for the price drop. Some people may not notice these issues, but some will. Could be a QC issue with the 65" version, and they're trying to get rid of them. Mine has the phantom lines too, but only really visible when watching hockey. Other than that, it's a fantastic TV.

I want to pick up a 55" for the bedroom, just waiting for the price to drop.

Don't fall for the tcl hype. Your 900e is a much better TV than current models. The 900h might possibly be watered down. I've got the 900f, which at first glance appears to be better than the 900h

Patience and delayed gratification is in short supply. "I want it now, can't wait" mentality is totally okay, if price drops later on do not cause buyer's remorse. There are people willing to buy early and live with the consequences. No problem with that. But, waiting and timing purchases of electronics around the holidays works out really well in terms of scoring some really sweet deals.

Sure. But this TVs main selling point is its 4k@120 VRR and those features aren't even available on the tv and if they where you don't have a device that can use those features unless you lucked out and got a 3080 cause nothing else is on the market. The soonest Sony even adds this update is November 12th or maybe a week before. The TV will be at its lowest price point this year in November. So you have no excuses not waiting. And if you don't want to wait don't jack the price for everyone by returning and re buying.

Might be a possibility. Skimming through the AVS forum owners thread, it does seem like the people who have been reporting banding issues and/or jailbar lines on their display seem to have the 65 inch version (and it also seems like wall mounting with a downward tilt may play a factor).

I think the 55 and 65 inch versions may also have fewer local dimming zones. I had a hard time tracking this info down. The only site I could find that reported number of dimming zones was a Chinese review site, and I'm not confident in the translation. As best I could tell, the 55 and 65 inch versions have 30 local dimming zones. The 75 and 85 inch have 60 local dimming zones.

I have the 75 inch version and have been happy with the purchase.
