For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

In general yes, but I was blown away by the Q80T reflection handling and side angle viewing when i saw it in store. For me that was the right blend between a good contrast VA panel vs Good View Angle IPS Panel. Though it comes at a premium price. My concenr with OLED is always the chance of burn in.. i do tend to keep my TV on with chromecast or fire tv showing pictures on loop.. so decided against a OLED.

I was not able to see the X950H in store. But i know someone who has it , so while i wasnt able to do a side by side comparison at the same time with Q80T , i still thought the picture looked better on the samsung (atleast to my eyes). Rtings has them matched pretty close with the real advantage for samsung being viewing angle and reflection handling. I was suprised the Sony did not handle angles and reflections as well as the samsung.. it has exceptional SDR and HDR peak brightness.
And yea the samsung is miles ahead in gaming if it matters to you.

Oh gotcha. I've never bought it online. Hopefully it's painless to set it up. Honestly I'm a new Costco member so I'm not super familiar with this square trade warranty. What does it mean "year 1 and 2 are covered by Costco concierge"? I didn't pay for this with a Costco credit card. Do I still have 2 years concierge?

Right there with you. Just a casual TV watcher. I've been leaning towards oled, but after looking at the side by side detail comparisons on rtings, this one seems good for the price difference, or even the x950h. I like the brighter tv (as long as isn't too bright). Viewing angles are a concern though since we do sit at ~45 degree angles from the tv.
