For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Well, I started looking around April/May this year. By the time I got up to speed on what TV I really wanted, it was too late to catch last year's models. So I decided to wait til BF as it seems like I should get a decent deal. Especially with all this talk of getting "sold out", I dont want to end up waiting another year.

2019 had big discounts on 2018 models. 2020 had almost no discounts on 2019 models due to the stay at home order; which, made everyone buy new TVs. Nowadays, many people are still buying TVs so I don't expect to see big discounts on old models until the pandemic ends. So I guess Black Friday will probably be the lowest price for this TV.

I think it was due to the source more than anything. Just keep in mind that it doesn't have the best contrast, so the picture isn't going to pop like a highend TV, but the it has good blacks and the shadow detail is good. If you can get a 950h for a good price that's better for 4k movie watching than this, but this seems like a good price.

Well bad luck for me, one of the 2.1 ports are dead on the 65 I took delivery of yesterday, looking like Sony will be replacing it with another one. Overall was happy with it until nothing I plugged in to HDMI 3 worked.

OK so total TV noob here but in the market for a 65+ TV (possibly even 70). My question to experts is that if I'm not a gamer then will this TV be still a good bargain for casual 1-2 hour TV watching a day? Or should I wait till thanks giving for OLED or NanoLED? I watch mostly TV series and may be a game here or there. TIA!

No doubt the 900E was a great set, but it was released in 2017. It's not available anymore.

Right now, when considering price/performance, the 900H is a great buy. Especially when factoring in HDMI 2.1 and the faster UI on the 900H. My friend has the 900F and the homescreen UI is much slower than the 900H.

I was just in Best Buy and talked to some very helpful employees. They told me the 65" 900H will go down to $999 (maybe $969) on September 30 so you should be able to get a refund on the difference directly from them. They said it was a Sony thing on the 65" and not just a Costco special.

Alright, need some help. Would you buy a 75" 950G BB store display for $1400 (plus tax) or wait and see what a new 75" 900H goes to over the next couple of months? I know $1400 is a smoking price on the 950G but in the back of my mind it is a 14 month old store display.
