For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

Is this better than X950h? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1

I got this from amazon for $998, should i cancel this and get it from Costco?
That's a 950G (last years model).

That was a great deal on that tv. Better PQ overall than the 900 series, but missing HDMI 2.1 support which is valuable to gamers.

There is a difference between the store running out of stock and the mfr running out of stock because they arent making it anymore. One is just temporary. I'm more concerned about the later. My plan is to wait til I am with in 30days of BF
Some people have patience. Unfortunately I don't lol. That's a good plan, I wonder how low it will actually go. This is a killer deal for an amazing set.

I thought that place was a scam. (You order and they try to get you on another TV, etc)
Good to hear a success story.
Well, I meant I had ordered it. But it has since shipped. I ordered a sound bar from them last year and didn't have any issues.

Whoa! Again?! Time for another price adjustment!
I purchased this set on 9/2 at a Costco. Would they give a price adjustment? I purchased it for 1169.00. It would be nice to get $200.00 back

How good of a deal is this? Would it be better to wait until BF for a better deal on something similar?

Yes you can since that will be within 30 days of it going on sale. Take the receipt back to the store if you purchased it there or submit the form on online if you purchased it there

As long as you don't have direct sunlight shining on it, you should be fine. I have this tv mounted in my living room, no viewing angle problems or glare. Also have a sliding door in that same room. If the blinds are completely open, minor glare. I think that's expected with most TVs. Only issue I have is every once in a while the settings will change(it's random) and it will turn on that opera effect. I've seen other report that bug. Not a big deal to me though. The app interface on this tv is crazy fast.

If it usually goes into the next spring/summer, I'd be surprised about it going out of stock now. Is the TV still in production now, are they still actively constructing it?

As for the pricing, that is what I read as well, however, I think the price drop around BF gets down pretty close. At least based on this: http://i.rtings.com/images/yearly...-deals.png [rtings.com]
The dotted line in the picture says gradual price decrease until model is discontinued. If you have patience and do not mind taking the risk of the model selling out, you can find brand new TVs at 30% below their previous lowest price

The coupon says 5yr "manufacturer's warranty". To me, that means no costco citi card required. If not, they made a mistake.

I am guessing 65 inch is the higher volume model now that they want to move, and don't expect a similar sale on 75.
I saw about making the warranty 5 years on the product page. It takes you to their SquareTrade page, so I wonder if the sale will include the 3 yr plan for TVs $500 - $1,000 that cost $64.99. See the link: https://www.costco.com/squaretrad...60857.html

Just a heads up for people that use sound bar and HDMI 2.1 ports. I did not know this in the beginning but one of the HDMI ports on this TV is both hdmi 2.1 and ARC port which means if you plan to use for soundbar you will end up with only 1 HDMI 2.1. This tv only 2 HDMI 2.1.

So, may be a dumb question, but reading through all the comments people are stating there are between 1 and 2 HDMI 2.1 ports on this tv. In the description on the costco site it shows all 4 are HDMI 2.1, where is the disconnect?

Rtings also shows all ports are HDMI 2.1 but Vincent from HDTV Test said only 2 HDMI ports have slightly different color in terms of how shiny they look meaning only 2 are 2.1.
