My wife went to costco today and snagged a 7.0 Cu Ft top draw freezer for $159.99, certainly cheaper than what you can get from other stores. She snagged the last one in my local store, but might be available in other costco stores.

Got one today, thanks to this thread. Some of the thermocol was stuck to the bottom, seems like something had leaked. Hopefully does not cause an issue. Anyone else encounter this?

There is one particular instruction in the manual that I could not figure out. it said "Remove the exterior and interior packing, especially the foam packing
between the outside condenser and the cabinet.". Did anyone find this foam packing?

Thanks to this post that I've been following closely for weeks, I was able to get one for my self, my brother got one as well 2 days ago in NY. I called 2 closest stores and they had up to three available. Took a chance and went to the closer one. Apparently no one noticed they were even sitting there, people were looking at us on check out line like we were carting away free gold. We rented home depot van to pick both up but that was after we had successfully purchased them. Thanks slickdeals and poster!

Get one NOW! Stock up on crap you don't need! As if enough grocery stores don't have free no-contact pickup at this point. I'm not running another freezer at San Diego's absurd power rates just to hoard food when I can have groceries in my car a a few markets within 3 miles within a few hours...

I went by my local Costco in Dallas, TX and came across this Midea chest freezer at $159.99 which is a really good price considering this is listed at $269 online. I've been watching prices since March after mine broke and the lowest price I've seen for a 7cu has been $189. This is the lowest yet I asked the CS rep to check prices for all TX, CA, MI and they are listed at $159.99. A big YMMV since these freezers are a rare and hot commodity these days so good luck!
