Just FYI:
This uses Snapdragon 865 not 865 +.
865+ offers better 5G speeds if that matters for you.

Yes sure. I just watched the unpacked event. The presenter said it has the same chipset as S20 line up which is 865 not 865+.
Also logically thinking Samsung might have opted for 865 to cut the cost.

Anyone know if this stacks with the $250 BYOD promo? I.e. bring phone over to tmobile for $250, then do a trade-in?

Only concern for future proofing is the 6gb ram. Flag ships a year or two ago is already 8gb, plus the samsung bloat is going to make this worse

Does this stack with the Free Line that started on 9/18? Reading the posts, it appears there is another variant of this promo, where the phone can be received free with a S7 trade-in for $500 and a new line.

Would this be a good upgrade from a S9 Plus?

No, this will not work with the "line on us" promo that is going from 9/18-9/24. I was in the store and asked this specific question. The promos on the phone have to match the promos during the time you activate the line. So if you set up the new line on 9/24, the phone promo has to exist on the day you activate and at the time you get the phone (within 14 days or activation I think). Since the new line promo ends before the S20 FE promo officially begins on 9/25, you cannot add a line and trade in the S7 to get a free phone. You can however get a $500 credit for trading in a Samsung Galaxy S7 and pay $200 + tax for the phone. That is what I am actually planning to do with my S7.

Get a hookup #3 code for $200 off and pay just tax for the phone after your s7 trade in.
