Can I still get this promo?
Edit: called and was told the free line promo (which ended on 9/24) does not qualify.
Pretty good deal if your existing plan is cheap to add a line and you don't mind staying with TMo. No need to trade in device.
Better than the front page $600 deal.

I guess I forgot the taxes on the phone and shipping that's about $80 in total. So that makes the total cost about $380 which is still not that bad.
Can I still get this promo?
I just literally asked via T-Mobile chat and was told that it has to be a new line added today and the free line from last week is ineligible.

If you could do a the FE on the free line, this thread would be through the roof.
And thanks QC for posting this. Crazy how some good deals don't get the love. Activating a new line for 2 years would cost me $384 ($16) to get free phone and service. Vs. $200 and another trade in donor I have to scrounge up. Bout even in my eyes. Actually lean towards your deal as I have a use for the line.
I really think those not wanting to add a line should be price matching at Samsung, good trade, other discounts, and the ability to get $250 BYOD (would end up at less than $150 in the end using cracked s8 as trade) and no 24 month commit. vs $199 deal
But I might be double dipping the way things worked out: Tried to activate a free line on account last week, there was a snafu. . .and they won't have it worked on backend dept out until tomorrow. Might end up getting free line and free phone in the end as the activation date will be tomorrow!
I'm pretty sure it does as a port in is a new line. If you want to confirm then it's best to contact T-Mobile via their chat so you'll have something in writing.
