Adding WiFi to a desktop computer. For example, I built a computer and my motherboard didn't have WiFi built in so I purchased a WiFi card to add it and Bluetooth.
These can also be faster and more reliable than some built in WiFi modules.

I would guess that your PC does not have a Wifi 6 and this would be a good upgrade for it. I get speeds similar to a wired PC but you have to get a wifi 6 capable router as well.

The advantage of wifi 6e is that devices in the same room will achieve near gigabit speed. Theoretically. Even if youre planning to get wifi6e, wifi 6 will be old texh available cheap next year.

If adding wifi and bluetooth to a desktop, it's better than AC or IMO waiting for the more expensive 6e and you get true Bluetooth 5 (requires an internal USB connector). All other so called USB Bluetooth 5 dongle I've seen are audio only which act as an USB sound card and bluetooth transmitter and they not cost much cheaper
