Also look at the Libby app for you phone, you can borrow audiobooks from your local library. Its amazing and has made audible a thing of the past for me. The main downside is that it doesn't allow offline listening but it's not a huge deal with a decent data plan.
And then you will only get about 10% of the audiobooks so you won't have to worry about having too many to listen to.
Your math doesn't make sense...you are paying 22.95 for 2 credits a month(the 3 credits for $30 is there for both plans). Instead, you could get 12 credits for $99(and do it multiple times per year, since if you cancel and renew you get it each time).

So you will pay more per book either way, plus get the same 3 credits for $30 deal. This deal is better in every way.

Audible is rather unique in that you OWN the audiobooks, and even if you cancel your subscription you own your copy. Also if you aren't satisfied with a book, even months later, you can return it for your credit back. Overall I'm very happy with audible, just perpetually annoyed with the way they do these pricing games.

I wouldn't say you "own" them. I had someone buy gift cards in my Amazon account because my computer was stolen. Amazon told me to dispute it with my CC company. After I did, they disabled my Amazon account effectively removing me from Audible, disconnected all my home automation stuff (literally had to hand reset all of it), then......... another service rep told me I shouldn't have disputed and I needed to repay it. So I did. Then the next person said I was correct to dispute it!!!!!!!!!!! Finally fixed it then they DISABLED MY ACCOUNT 3 months later!!!! 🙄 I said eff it and used their system against them. Once it was reinstated I had my books moved to a new account and stopped using the old. Probably disabled again. Idk. I'm so over Amazon.

so you are saying that you had downloaded books, and when this happened you weren't able to access them?

Libby Is great, but in our city, where usage of the library's digital offering is high, it can be a 6+ month wait for popular audio books, like the Harry Potter series, for example.

You might see if your library supports Hoopla. No wait time at all, but limited checkouts per month.

It was introduced a few months ago, and is called "Audible Plus": https://www.audible.com/about/new...in-preview

It's $7.95/month, and includes a Netflix-style access-while-you-pay model where you're renting access to the available audiobooks. Currently includes ~11,000 books according to Audible, with more being added.

The Audible Plus feature is also available an an included part of the "premium" Audible subscriptions that they previously had.

Yes, I am really enjoying the additional books they've added with this service. It's added a lot of value to Audible.

I'm in the same boat and was thinking the same thing. You are closer to your subscription ending though. I guess ultimately you don't have anything to lose. If you cancel and renew it might apply the offer but if it doesn't your renewal will be the same price as if you didn't cancel.
I went to cancel and selected "too much" and it gave me the deal listed above

I feel dumb paying for all the title that I could have listen for free here to Amazon! Great recommendation

Just out of curiosity, what happened to everyone's wish list when they canceled their current subscription to get this deal?

I can't speak on this deal specifically but I have been a member on and off for years and have close to 450 audible books in my audible library. My wishlist is not impacted whether I am a current paying member or not. Given that I would say your safe to not worry as I believe it's tied to your login.

You don't actual cancel, you just attempt to cancel.

Y'all, get scribd for $9/month for unlimited audio books and share it with your family Too (same login) 🎧🎤🤜🏼

I hated scribd.
You can only listen to so many books then you are limited to public domain books you can get anywhere.
After you hit your threshold (whatever that is, smh) they cut you off until who knows when.
They told me it was because every time a customer opens a book they have to pay royalties.

Had to chat cs - attempting to cancel never offered up the deal. Five minutes via chat and got the 12 credits for $100 yearly deal.
