Released in 2017. I would go with something more recent.

The M9's sell at Costco regularly for $199. Even though they are better, they still aren't meeting my needs and I think I'm sending them back.

Don't underestimate the M5's. I personally think they are the best value in the Deco line and super stable, especially with Ethernet backhaul.

That Eero is nowhere near the ballpark of this router in features and price. Why even bring it up?!

Paying $600 for routers is for people who sort by price highest to lowest. I'm not one of those people.

They're okay without the backhaul but they don't have a dedicated wireless channel like the M9s have for passing traffic between themselves. Roughly about half to 2/3 the speed and a little increased latency without backhaul. The backhaul allows all the M5's to have full WiFi bandwidth for your devices, and each pod can run as fast as your modem supports (up to gigabit anyway.)

Just offering another option for earlier comment that the TP-Link was released in 2017...this is new and other reviews of other Erros has been favorable.

There are newer TP-LINK devices as well. But nowhere near $150 for 3.

Yeah, the X20 3-pack is considerably lower than the last time I checked. But the M5s will meet my needs for a long time, so no hurry to replace them. It's great that they can be mixed and matched within the Deco family - even older and newer generations.

I think there is an issue with the title. It's showing the M5s but the title says X20s?

My only issue with the M9 plus is I had to disable fast roaming. That made all of my devices garbage. With that disabled, it's been excellent. All of my pucks are hard wired, for anyone curious

Amazon is listing this as AX20.. I think that's a mistake though.
