Interesting, never knew Corel does CAD. Anyone had experience with it? I am interested in getting it just to learn CAD in general and possibly designing stuff for 3D printer just to learn the process.

I got this last time they had it. Decent deal, just wanted to give a fair warning to be prepared to dig through the menus in all these apps to turn off the annoying pop up ads for upgrades and additional software.

Great deal. Worth it for Painter 2020 alone. This is slick for digital artists.

Fusion360 is the place to start learning CAD. Free for non professional use, lots and lots of YouTube tutorials and you can even do CNC programming in the same window with the same tools. Best part is it runs on almost any hardware as it's cloud base.

Fusion 360 is free. They are taking away some of the free features starting tomorrow, but it should still do everything you need for what you describe.

I'm not disagreeing, but I just wanted to point out that a lot of people in machining forums are angry right now because they changed some of the free user's CAM features. I think I was told that G0 was no longer supported so all moves are slow, and 4th axis was disabled.

That said, the free version is still free and you can learn lots of CAD/CAM stuff that applies to most other CAD and CAM software. I know Solidworks CAD/CAM and it's similar enough to Fusion360 that I can provide occasional support to a friend using it.

Almost had me until that 6-month license. Been using CorelDRAW since version 4 (almost 25 years!). Not a fan of these subscription-based licenses. I'll keep using my 2017 license. DRAW hasn't had much new that interests me since around version 12 anyway. Maybe the photo tools are useful for others though. A review for CAD seems to indicate it's more for architects, but I guess can be used for things like 3D printing too.

Is Draw 3 is better than 4? My co-worker still has V.2 on one of her computer and up to X7 I think. She still uses V.3 once in a while.

Do you know Paint Shop Pro or Painter will open Draw .cdr files?

Unfortunately, I didn't see it until after I bought the bundle, but I really bought it for Painter. I already have photo editors out the wazoo, visio and the affinty suite of apps.

The pre-corel version of paint shop pro I have (psp 7 anniversary edition from like 2006) opens cdr files, not sure if the current version still does.

It was actually released in August of 2001. I knew I had it a long time but didn't realize it will be 20 years old next August.

I have other much newer editing software but I always install PSP7 on my devices. Still quick as a fox to open and make simple edits like resizing.

Received an email today about 150 more brushes for Corel Painter have been added to the bundle.

To get them, log into your humble bundle account and navigate to your bundle page. I got there by browsing to humblebundle.com clicking the profile avatar, clicking 'purchases', then clicking the 'Be a creative superhero' item in my purchase list. After that scroll to the download links at the bottom of the page. The new packs are:

• Brush Pack - Chaos
• Brush Pack - Blend
• Brush Pack - Lightning Strikes
• Brush Pack - Dust & Debris
• Brush Pack - Flame
• Brush Pack - Hair
• Brush Pack - Clouds
• Brush Pack - Fluid
• Brush Pack - Chunky Paint
• Brush Pack - Sand & Soil
