This is great when everything is WiFi 6, mostly WiFi 4/5 today.. WiFi 5 can do 4K as most of everything is still 1080i/p and even that much 4K will be handled on WiFi 5..
I don't know how much of a deal this is. The ax1500 is $80. The ax6000 looks to be about $380. This model doesn't seem to be available at major retailers. Neither does the ax11000 that Costco sells. Anyone know why? Hard to tell whether it's a deal. No comparison prices.

Tempting but WiFi 6e with 6ghz is coming in less than 2 months. Drastic change in frequencies compared to the last decade or so. Unless your current router crapped out, it might be smarter to wait it out.
This one doesn't support 160mhz, which is a major selling point of wifi 6.
It says it does, pulled this directly from its description:
Use of DL/UL MU-MIMO, DL/UL OFDMA, TWT, WPA3, 1024-QAM and HT160 requires clients to also support corresponding features
Hmm... this is a really interesting router. Looks like it's a brand new model, but might be Costco exclusive.
It's the cheapest reputable AX tri-band router I've seen by far with what looks to be a decent CPU. Might just impulse buy it so I can give my 86u to my in-laws so I can get decent coverage when I visit.
Wish TP-Link would list it on their website though. Makes me a little worried about updates when there's exclusive or lesser known models.

If it makes you feel any better, I think they did similar with the Archer AX3000. It was a Walmart exclusive for a bit, then they released the available-everywhere Archer AX50 which is pretty much the same router. I've had the AX3000 for almost exactly a year and they've pushed 2 firmware updates, the same as the AX50.

Sadly, the AX3000 is not the same as the AX50.... confusing as that is. Check out this link https://dongknows.com/tp-link-arc...50-review/
The AX3000 sold outside of Walmart is much better.
