My local Costco on Coleman Ave in San Jose, California had a big stack of Yamaha TSR-700 receivers for $399.99. It does not show up online. TSR-700 appears to be a Costco rebrand of the new RX-V6A which just came out in the last week or so. The RX-V6A is normally $600 and RX-V4A is normally $440, so getting essentially an RX-V6A for $400 seems good.
This receiver has 7.2 channels, 7 HDMI in (some of which will handle 4k/120 and 8k/60 resolutions after future firmware upgrade), Atmos, Dolby Vision, etc.

There are not many reviews for this since it just came out, but there is an RX-V6A and RX-V4A Owners thread

That way you don't abuse their great return policy and eventually ruin it for everyone!
I'm not overly fond of the new styling. The front display has shrunk so you probably won't ne reading that from a distance, and the volume knob is... well... BIG. If it's anything like the 7850 the knob will feel very stiff and plasticky.
I have the 7850 and am very happy with it. I don't need any of the new features so I'll be sitting tight for a while.
