If you're already on Tracfone/Verizon, using the Verizon SIM and transferring existing line/balance over should work without issue. Switching from another carrier Tracfone SIM may require CS intervention. It's hit or miss.

So can I just add this to my existing Tracfone phone? I recall some conversation in the recent past that they weren't letting you do that any more. But in this description, stacking is mentioned and that sounds like what I want to do.

Yes you can, you will have to activate/upgrade to the new SIM and then replace the SIM in your current device.

Download sim info app or read iccid in the phone settings. On Android go to about phone, sim status then look for iccid number. If the iccid starts with 89012, it is T-Mobile. If it is 89148, it's Verizon.
