I have my daughters phone which one year plan doesn't expire until Jan 30. If I buy this and activate, will it extend the one year from Jan 30 onwards or day of activation. Thanks

It will extend your service end date by a year. You can add it at any time, makes no difference.

Ya, he did. He applied the code, claimed it didn't apply, returned the card got credit, days later added the code again and it applied.

Yes, you can port your # to Tracfone from any carrier.

If purchasing for Verizon lines, what's the current best way to transfer & retain all my minutes, texts, data & add the extra 360 days to my existing yearly plan? Mines going to expire around March or April.

TracFone gurus only - Potentially complicated questions:

1) I bought the Verizon SIM for my father and set it up for him using my own Verizon-compatible phone. It asked me for the phone's IMEI number during activation, but I only had mine on me so I entered my number instead of his. Once activated, I put the SIM into my father's flip phone and it works without any issues there.

Can I buy another Verizon network compatible SIM and use it in my own phone even though I originally registered the IMEI with a different device? Or should I just go with ATT/T-Mob instead (I'd prefer Verizon)?

Edit: Hmm, Not sure what it means by "Verizon SIM no longer includes physical cards and has caused issues in the past"...how does one activate on Verizon without one?

2) If I port in my number to tracfone, is it difficult to port back out? Or is porting to tracfone not recommended?
