Do Total Wireless prepaid refill cards expire if they haven't been activated? I bought one paired with the iPhone 6 last year for trade in purposes but never activated the card. Perhaps I can use it for this offer. It was a $35 card I believe.
A lot of people say these cards expire, but it hasn't been my experience. I just used a Simple Mobile card I had laying around for over a year from another deal, and it worked just fine to activate my Simple Mobile SIM from this deal.

You could also read the card and see if there are any expiration clauses there. Hard to imagine it would expire without saying so, or at least hard to imagine such a thing would be legally enforceable.

FYI, the Simple Mobile SIM would *not* activate at all online until I stuck it in a phone. No errors, it just wouldn't take the number. Maybe that is normal and expected.

Second, Simple Mobile asked for the IMEI when activating. It seems like this was just to check compatibility, but throwing it out there as a data point.

I put it in the phone from this deal and used that phone's IMEI, just to be safe.

No Expiration date that I can see. Looks like I'm good to go. Thanks

No! You "must" buy a SIM KIT on the same order as the phone. This precise SIM is the one that must be activated for the rebate.

The SIM(kit) is only 99¢, iirc. But you must also purchase airtime, anywhere, which is required to activate the SIM.

Your prepaid/preloaded SIM cannot be used in this deal, in any way, as I understand things.

Its not a preloaded sim. It is just a piece of paper with a scratch off pin on the back. Says the plan is $35. Either I activate it or refill it. I don't have the sim.
So my question would be can I buy the phone and sim kit and load it with the credit/refill that I have?
I read the terms of the rebate and it says that only the PHONE and SIM KIT needs to bought at same time. Don't mention anything about refill/credit plan have to bought at same time/receipt. But in reality I don't know much about these prepaid stuffs.

You should be able to, that's what it's for. I also have a TW card from a phone purchase few months ago & will use it to activate new phone for rebate - then move phone elsewhere later.
Phone is out for delivery today, fast shipping for a change (most USPS has been running slow).

Ok sorry. I have a lot of history using preloaded sims. Thought that was what it was.

So it looks like you have an "airtime card". Probably won't hurt to see if it can activate the SIM kit you purchased for the offer.

Phone I just got from Amazon is Moto G Power, wanted the better screen & battery life. Any of the unlocked phones will work, just need to research what fits your use.
Plan is to activate on TW for 30 days, get rebate, then switch phone to a current TF line which is paid up for a while thanks to the discounted yearly BYOP sims.

I waited over 24 hours and when I try to submit, I get this error: "SIM Card Serial Number is not valid". I tried with leading five digits, without, with added last two digits, without, ect. It is number on the card.

And you
- created a new account on https://www.tracfone.com/ (Deal only valid for new users)
- activated the SIM card you ordered together with the phone with some airtime
- the SIM card shows as active on https://www.tracfone.com/
?
