I prefer the Costco deal, but we're still sort of in a pandemic and this year I don't think running from store-to-store and waiting in line is the smartest choice. Costco usually gets limited models/colors/capacities so it's unlikely you'll get your first pick on day one.
In a non-pandemic year i'd wait until next week, call every Costco near me, drive around wait in line and get what I want. This year I really don't want to deal with that, I just did the TMO deal.
Oh, and you usually have to get the first part of the paperwork done at the wireless center, then go pay at the register, then go back to the wireless center, etc.
For the "up to $500" and the "$200 loyalty" deals, existing lines are fine.
