For those thinking about the A3300, it's a fantastic price at $350. Typically it is $499 at full price. Both the Ascent A2500 and the Ascent A3300 models are $499 at full price. The A2500 only has the count up timer (not a programmable timer) that shows you the time lapse during blending, and it has knobs and levers. The A2500 also has three built-in presets. There is also an Ascent A2300 model (base Ascent model), which is the same as the A2500 minus the built-in presets that is $450 at full price. The A3300 is all digital with a programmable timer. The A3300's programmable timer counts up to show blending time lapse, but can also be set to stop after X amount of seconds or minutes. The A3300 is all digital and some consider that easier to clean because the panel is flat with no knobs or levers. The A3300 does not have built in presets. However, ALL Ascent (and the Costco Venturist model) can connect to the Vitamix Perfect Blend App and access many presets. They connect via bluetooth, the app recognizes what container size is on the blender, and you can pick any of the many presets and just press start on your actual blender. So even though the A3300 doesn't have built in presets, you can access presets via the app. The priciest model, the A3500, is all digital and the same as the A3300 except that it has five built-in presets and comes in metal housing finishes that supposedly make the unit quieter when blending (see lifeisnoyoke videos and reviews that discuss this). The only colors that are non metallic for the priciest A3500 are candy apple red and white, which are plastic finish and supposedly not as quiet as the metal housed bases. The A3300 on sale at Amazon right now in Black Diamond is supposedly the non metal housing finish. The A3300's only metal housed base is the brushed stainless steel. Regardless, the A3300 Amazon sale price for Black Diamond is an excellent deal. Only the Ascent (and Costco Venturist) blenders are compatible with the new food processor attachment and the smart detect 20 oz jar and 8 oz bowls. So if you care about compatibility with new smart detect accessories now and going forward, you probably want an Ascent (or Venturist) model. If all you care about is a good blend, any of the classics/non Ascent models blend wonderfully too. Hope this helps.

5200 is the pick for America's Test Kitchen.

This is mostly because it comes with a taller jar that vortexes better than the shorter wider jars.

Bought 1. It was $20 cheaper than when I bought it for someone from the last deal (July 2019 $279). Plus with the $10 whole foods and small business credit this makes for a good deal for me.

Good price. I would buy it if Vitamix provided an option of a dry container. I don't know why they don't do it. Maybe they are too greedy.
Sold separately, but they have the option [amazon.com].

I'm wondering the same....80$ difference....but 3 year vs 7 year warranty....and Im not seeing anything about the differences in performance.
Experien is really their low end model. Ascent has better parts

Vitamin does offer a 32 oz dry container. In past years it has been on sale around Black Friday.

Oh. Back in Feb, so it's should be prime for a good drop again.

It's great, esp once you get the smaller cups/bowls for sauces, dips and single serve. Very plasticky but the 3300 seems to be more sturdy, and then you have the other feature like built in timer dual.

Tried the Bluetooth thing to set timers recipes etc. but after a few weeks I just relied on my eyes and adjust when necessary.

Well personally, the price on the 5200 is about on the highest end that I'm willing to spend....Also, I'm not much into, nor am I willing to pay extra for high tech features/gimmicks like timers, digital, hdmi, 4K, WiFi, etc etc. So really am just looking for a comparison between the Explorian and the 5200 in basic performance/build quality. Leaning towards the 5200 though. Know I can't take much time deciding, because with these deals, they can sell out at any moment, and don't want to take my chances waiting to see if anywhere will do something similar for Black Friday/cyber Monday.

I just bought the Blendtec Classic 570 with the Wildside jar as my first blender for $199, is the 5200 significantly better/different or worth returning the 570 for? Thank you again for all your help and wisdom, noob here Smilie
