If you are not a heavy data user, say less than 3GB monthly, major savings are available. I was with Verizon and all the costs just kept adding up. Monthly fee, line fee, 911, taxes, regulatory, on and on....

Is Xfinity right for everyone, no. Is it right for savers who don't use a phone constantly for streaming, for video, for online gaming, for regular Google mapping; yes it is.

My monthly bill is between $16 and $28, just depends on data usage. Locations I had a problem with Verizon service are the same locations I have problems with Xfinity, but those are very, very few.

My Verizon bill, no matter what was around 60 per line. Don't need to pay all that money to pad someone else's pockets.

Look at your monthly data avg., to see what makes cents and dollars.

Try a few of the resale sites and you'll get a rough idea of what they'll probably offer. For example, the highest value I found on my iPhone X 256GB was $316 on decluttr.

Xfinity seems to want you to go in store to get a appraised value which I find annoying.
I have used Swappa to both buy and sell used devices. I highly recommend. Note that you will have to pay a seller fee to swappa ($15 I believe if selling under $500) + PayPal takes a cut + shipping costs. It's worth a look though if you are looking to sell your used phone.

I'm a current boost mobile user with an iphone X. I'm not a fan of the sprint towers. I'm looking to switch to xfinity's $45/month plan and purchase an iphone 12.
If you're a current xfinity customer, any reasons not to switch? TIA

If you aren't a comcast customer it's less compelling. however if you have their internet it's pretty good. I have little to no complaints. I have had verizon and sprint and hated every second of it. I'm really surprised I've had little issue with xfinity. It goes off of verizon towers so that's what you can expect with them, I have good service pretty much everywhere. I've heard they're good with unlocking devices but I haven't done it myself. I have had sprint refuse to unlock devices before. The payments are pretty straightforward.

The $250 is via monthly phone payments over 24 months. Any acceleration of device payoff results in forfeiture of remaining discount. So this requires 24 months of service to get the full $250.

I believe that is if you are signing up for a new line/transferring in you sign up for a 24 month plan agreement. But if you are upgrading an existing line they don't have the same 24 month lock in?

Yeah, I'm a frequent user of Swappa, figured TripeoXxX was looking for an easy way to get rid of their phone (and lose out on some extra money for the convenience). Looking at the price trends for my phone, it looks like last sold price was about $434. Subtract about $45 for Swappa, Paypal and shipping costs and you're looking at a little under $400. So it depends on if $84 is worth it to you to get rid of your old phone faster.

I believe you're correct. From Xfinity (separated out by new vs upgrading):
Quote :
New Lines:
$250 Off: Requires purchase of new iPhone, 24 month Xfinity Mobile Device Payment Plan Agreement ("Device Agreement"), activation of new Xfinity Mobile line and transfer of phone number from another carrier within 30 days of phone purchase date. Device credits applied monthly to your account over 24 months so long as Device Agreement is in effect. If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily or device payments are accelerated, balance of credits associated with device payment are forfeited.

Upgrade of existing Xfinity Mobile lines:
$250 Back: Requires upgrade of an existing Xfinity Mobile line to an iPhone and activation within 30 days of order. Existing phone must be paid in full if eligible phone is purchased online or pre-ordered. At least 50% must be paid if purchased at an Xfinity store, and an upgrade fee may apply. Must maintain Xfinity Mobile line with an account in good standing for 90 days following phone purchase. Visa Prepaid Cards are issued by MetaBank®, National Association, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa® U.S.A. Inc. This card can be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. Prepaid card mailed to Xfinity account holder within 16-18 weeks of phone purchase and expires in 180 days.

You need the internet service to sign up for new lines.

"Although you can keep your Xfinity Mobile service without having Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Voice, or Xfinity TV, you cannot add new lines to your Xfinity Mobile account."

https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/su...on-details
So you can open and maintain xfinity mobile without additional fees if you have Xfinity TV only? When i checked in the past, I was told they required Xfinity internet.

Also, what is the total cost including all fees for 1 line using less than 1gb data? How much is each additional line if staying under 1 GB data?

Yes you're required to have xfinity internet. Spoke to their rep. You need it first and then you buy the iphone to get $250 discount.
What if you only have xfinity TV but not internet?

I just upgraded 2 paid-off phones to the new iPhone 12, also paid in full. The $250 prepaid card doesn't show up in the initial order screen, but it shows up on your final confirmation screen.

Just waiting for the day they start adding a $10 fee per line. This is just the best plan ever for families that uses little data, they don't do any of that bs sim and activation fee either.
About how much for their taxes and fees?
