Apple trade-in credit

If your trade-in doesn't match the condition described, or isn't an eligible device, you will no longer qualify for the T-Mobile Special Trade-in Offer. However, Apple Trade In will provide a new value for your device. You'll have the option to either accept this revised value or reject it. We'll work with you to confirm that you still want to move forward with the trade-in.

1) Going directly with T-mobile, using the iPhone 8 as a trade in will net you $415 off instead of Apple $140 + $150 Rebate Card. $415 vs $290. No brainer. Granted the Tmo deal is bill credits, but if your staying with Tmobile, who cares.
2) If you don't want Bill credits, BE PATIENT. Costco will have an offer soon if they don't have one already that will usually mirror T-Mobiles direct offer except with a prepaid card instead. Will beat Apple's crappy offer.

Thru a carrier - they will pay more but you will be locked into a 30 month contract.
You have to use the link above and code to access the T Mobile promotions page.
You now have to wait until the new phone shows up and enter the IMEI code to start the $150 virtual card.
Also not sure if anyone has mentioned, but if you have been a T-Mobile customer for 5 years or longer you can use the code "2020APPLEUPGRADE3" for a $200 cash back card!
