  • Pre-Paid Mastercard expires 6-months from time of issuance.
  • Lines must be active and in good standing when card is issued. Allow up to 2 weeks after fulfillment of offer requirements.

Q: If you take advantage of the bonus $150 Mastercard as detailed on Apple's website, is the phone locked to Tmob for a certain period of time? I am a current Sprint SWAC subscriber.

Thanks in advance.
Purchases directly from Apple are unlocked. From Sprint/Tmobile they are locked but can be unlocked after certain conditions are met.

but the term said Once your trade-in is complete, you'll receive an email (after you place your order) with a promo code that you'll submit here.
The $150 digital Mastercard issues after you receive the new iPhone from Apple and enter the IMEI number on the form above. Once T Mobile confirms you did trade in your old phone and got a T Mobile to replace it, they will send you an email for the digital code for redeeming the $150.

As for the trade in, you will receive a separate box to ship the phone to Apple.
Once Apple receives it, you will receive the trade in credit that was promised (assuming it has no defects as listed) and an email will be sent then.

I just did the trade-in deal thru T-Mobile for my wife to get an iPhone 12 Pro.

Doing the trade using an iPhone 8 Plus, and T-Mobile is giving us $415.
Don't remember exact number, but Apple's offer was something like $200 or less.
Even with this promotion for additional $150, the T-Mobile deal still saves more money.

The only downside is the T-Mobile deal is a monthly statement credit versus outright credit towards purchase or prepaid card. Would have much rather bought the phone outright on my Apple card, but the extra savings via T-Mobile is too much to pass on right now.

I need a new phone and I'm an existing T-mobile customer. I dropped my pixel 3 and cracked the screen pretty bad. Is it likely that there will be deals for me or should I just bite the bullet and buy the iphone 12?

Truly a bummer that the T-mobile deal doesn't offer the Max version.
I'm confident this will keep going until November 6 since that's the second part of the launch. It also looks like it's on the page for the pro max page so it would be messed up if they did pull it.

Checking the lead times of shipping, it sure looks like the iPhone 12 isn't selling very well. I see blue and green shipping in two weeks and all other colors available next Friday.

Trade in only is available too.
Second this. I don't need additional lines but an upgrade which T-Mobile typically doesn't do (that I've seen). I've only seen promos on new line activation.

My trade in through T-Mobile is much more than what Apple's offering
Iphone 8 64Gb: T-mobile $415, Apple $140, even with the additional stuff they're only giving $320

The problem with 30 months is you have to give up 6 months to get a new phone after 24 months or wait an extra 6 months for the next phone. So it's sort of like getting a 80% credit for 24 months or 100% credit over 36 months. I'm hopeful that this sticks around to the pro max launch so I can take advantage of this.

Sheepish here. Ordered a 12 at launch before this offer appeared. The $150 Tmo MC offer didn't appear then. Possible to get it on an existing line? Trading in an XR.

edit: I selected "no carrier" to save $30 when I ordered, probably kneecapped myself for this offer.

That's not how it works anymore.
T-Mobile documentation now states that you can pay off your current EIP and keep existing credits, while allowing you to sign up for another recurring device promo.

https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...irdheading

Quote :
You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per line at a time.

To get a new Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo and keep your current credit, you must pay off the existing EIP first.

If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months).

Additionally, you can't pay off an EIP by deducting the remaining Recurring Device Credits (RDC) installments from the remaining EIP balance. The full EIP balance must be paid to close out the plan.

Absolutely no reason to do this deal if you are a long time Tmo customer and don't plan on going anywhere. Here's why:

1) Going directly with T-mobile, using the iPhone 8 as a trade in will net you $415 off instead of Apple $140 + $150 Rebate Card. $415 vs $290. No brainer. Granted the Tmo deal is bill credits, but if your staying with Tmobile, who cares.

2) If you don't want Bill credits, BE PATIENT. Costco will have an offer soon if they don't have one already that will usually mirror T-Mobiles direct offer except with a prepaid card instead. Will beat Apple's crappy offer.
I have an xr and planned on preordering the 12pro. Should I wait?

Ok, it took a couple of hours before the promo code 2020APPLERETAILT1 was accepted. But the next form requires to enter the IMEI of the purchased device. So you have to wait for the new iPhone to be shipped before you can complete the step. It's a bit odd as the official wording is "30 days from your transaction date". But the device might only ship in 14-21 days depending on when you ordered.

I have iPhone XS 256GB and if I buy a 12 Pro 128GB from Apple with this offer, the total trade-in credit comes to $450 (300 from Apple +150 from T-Mobile). Also, if i use me Apple card, will get 3% cashback (which will be approx $22 post Apple trade-in payable amount of $699 if I plan to buy iPhone 12 Pro 128GB). That comes to $472 for my iPhone XS and the phone will be unlocked with no bounds of 30 months offer where T-Mobile is offering $500.

I am on T-mobile for 4 years so not eligible for $200. So is it worth going ahead with this offer?

No it's not. That $415 trade in deal is for existing lines.
For new lines, it would be $680 for that tier of trade-in.
For $415 I see we need a new line. Are you saying even upgrades are eligile?
