1) Going directly with T-mobile, using the iPhone 8 as a trade in will net you $415 off instead of Apple $140 + $150 Rebate Card. $415 vs $290. No brainer. Granted the Tmo deal is bill credits, but if your staying with Tmobile, who cares.
2) If you don't want Bill credits, BE PATIENT. Costco will have an offer soon if they don't have one already that will usually mirror T-Mobiles direct offer except with a prepaid card instead. Will beat Apple's crappy offer.

iPhone 12 Pro $999

The AT&T deal at $190 works out to more expensive monthly plans, so not attractive. I am seeing $60/ line for their Essential Unlimited with 2 lines per account + fees and taxes.
This forum is funny with the numb nuts questions asked all the time. You either take the Apple promotion or the T- mobile promotion. They can't be doubled stacked . I repeat no cross promotion between the Apple offer and T-mobile offer. Why don't you buy a Whopper at McDonals Elmer Fudd and let me know how that works out?
TMO $150 is a good deal, I didn't like Tmobile bill credit offer.

You clearly have zero experience with TMUS promos. Here, try their current $200 loyalty iPhone code: 2020APPLEUPGRADE3 - works just fine irrelevant of IMEI.
If you actually tried it, you would know it's asking you for the device info on the very next screen... This is exactly what Apple said would happen.
Trading in an iPhone X through TMo nets me $415.
Through Apple: they offer $250, plus $150 gift card, so $400.
Just a $15 difference, so not crazy.
Plus worth nothing that TMo prices it over 30 months versus Apple's 24 months.
So if you don't really care for lower monthly payments and want $150 to spend on something else, I guess it could be worth it for some.
