How does the trade-in credit work?

1) Going directly with T-mobile, using the iPhone 8 as a trade in will net you $415 off instead of Apple $140 + $150 Rebate Card. $415 vs $290. No brainer. Granted the Tmo deal is bill credits, but if your staying with Tmobile, who cares.
2) If you don't want Bill credits, BE PATIENT. Costco will have an offer soon if they don't have one already that will usually mirror T-Mobiles direct offer except with a prepaid card instead. Will beat Apple's crappy offer.

I never got an email from Apple with any code, so I just used the code in this thread and submitted the other day after I got my credit back from Apple.
If you do not have a existing T-mobile or Sprint number you cannot get the additional rebate. You mentioned you reserved a free line on the account. what does that mean? do you have service with T-Mobile or sprint already?
