Always the people that need to justify their money spent in these listings.

I own a 65in LG OLED, and a 55in Samsung Q80R.... Both last year's top TVs for price and performance... And I still use the Hisense 65in I got last year for $240 and I have no issue with the 50in ONN I bought for $100 as well.

Budget 4K are pretty damn good from Septre, ONN and the like... People praise TCL and forget people talked trash about them as well... Same thing for Vizio.

Even more interesting is a lot of budget sets use 2nd tier Samsung VA panels that actually look better than the entry level LGs with poor contrast.

man... $228 for a full array led 4k 65" TV shipped free. Imagine seeing these deals 10 years ago, you'd hardly believe it.

Honestly, at this price point if it craps out on me and I throw it to the curb, I won't lose any sleep over it. I've spent more money on throwaway entertainment that didn't last a full night. I'd prefer to have a warranty, but again, this is throwaway spend at this point.

I realize not everyone will have that perspective and I don't mean to impose it on anyone else, but I'm probably older than most people buying this TV and in a different place in life where my priorities are going to be unlike most. That said, I'm also not a videophile so I'm not looking for perfection. I wanted a 4K TV to fill a specific space in the family room and the size was perfect.
I think for the price, it's awfully hard to beat. The poster a while back had a good quote "I'm not entering this in the TV Olympics". I just hope my confusion on the warranty is a misunderstanding, you at least tried and brought some clarity to the discussion. Thanks!

I just went to pickup my order and they gave me a Samsung UN65NU6900

Not sure if I should be happy or complain they didn't give me the tv I ordered
It's close to the Onn if anything it's better. Just about all the 65 TVs in the 400-500 price range have less than a 2% difference. Comes down to total price and if you prefer android or Roku.

As the last person said, the specs look similar. So be thankful you got "something" I suppose. And you are getting an arguably more respected brand. But the wider bezel on this Samsung sure looks old-fashioned compared to the 65" Onn! Just my honest opinion.

I'm wondering, however, what happens if you later need to submit a warranty claim when your receipt shows a 65" Onn TV instead of the Samsung that you brought home???

Is anyone else's tv requiring them to choose the wifi connection every time they wake it from standby? Kind of annoying it doesn't automatically connect to the last used network

Nope. Have been using mine for about 48 hours now and every time I turn it on, it's seamlessly connecting to my home wifi just fine. No prompts or anything. Great TV at any price. Let alone for a $228 price that we paid. LOVE IT! Great picture and decent sound.

I placed the order on November 4th and the original pickup date was November 11th and it is still not ready to be picked up. Should I go in the store and demand a TV to see if they give me another 65 or 70 inch tv?

They're more or less the same. The Nu6900 is Samsung's bottom of the barrel model. Biggest difference is the app selection with Tizen vs Roku

If you ordered a 65" I would expect just that. I'm sure the employees are stressed out with the shopping rush so please don't be demanding of them since they're doing some people a favor by subbing the tv

If there is anyone still contemplating this TV vs the Target TCL 65" I can say at least from my observation of having both of them that the Onn impresses far more. The TCL Android interface was clunky at the best and the remote volume control had a 1-2 second delay consistantly. The colors on the Onn are far more vivid and crisp and the TV itself just looks.and feels like a solid build compared to the TCL. I tend to use web streaming channels for news etc that my Nvidia can handle all day, the TCL struggled and could not process the video without choking itself to death, the Onn had no issues at all and the Roku interface I found was even quicker than my stand alone Nvidia shield. Now I just want to box the TCL back up and pretend I didn't buy it.

I have not been able to unpack mine (65") but I noticed it doesn't mention HDR on the box at all. It is comforting that (almost) everyone has given great reviews

I would be happy. If one gets a "good" ONN panel it would probably be comaprable to the Samsung, but I feel the odds are getting a "good" panel (no major flaws) are much higher with a Samsung. I'd still set it up and calibrate it and test it out of course.

I found a 'bandwidth saver' setting that disconnects the TV after 4 hours if it detects inactivity. I'm hoping turning that off will solve my problem. Though I would think that wouldn't have an effect when the TV is turned off.

Was upgraded to the 70"

Be aware that the TV from default seems to be on low power mode.

Was wondering why the colors were so far off and that was a large part of it until I changed to normal. Otherwise it truly looks terrible

Still have to do the rest of the adjustments, hopefully can find a post of the best settings for
