So far 3d Solutech has been pleasant enough to work with and is among the cheaper brands, so lately I buy it pretty exclusively.
However if deals come about for a brand I haven't tried yet, like this one, I'll still give it a shot.

I've been playing the long game in deciding on a brand that I like to work with while keeping affordability in mind.

I bought a two pack (black/white). This company always seems to have a coupon out for a two pack that brings the price down. My two pack cost me $33.14 plus tax, so about the same money per roll as this deal (actually a bit cheaper).
They also have a 3 pack of shiny Gold/Silver/Copper that seems to be on sale with coupon for about the same price per roll quite often.

Have you tried them recently? From March - July it was just way too brittle. Any better now?
There are a fair amount of newer reviews indicating exactly what you are experiencing though. I'm hoping they just had a bad batch that wasn't treated properly and things will go back to normal.

Same thing here. I dehydrated that roll and it is fine now. A batch had to have a bad storage/sealing run. Ordered some since and no issues
