Good deal until I saw it's a refurb. I am skeptical bc I've bought open box and refurbs and didn't learn there was a problem with it for a couple months and then I'm stuck with it.

Specs are great though for that price!

only sharing because it rarely restocks and it's an HP gaming laptop from Walmart. Walmart even gave me another 10% off to keep it. It does run hot but the $19 cooler keeps it under 50C. AND it came with original HP warranty, 8 months in my case.

*and POOF! it's gone within minutes. Sorry for the interruption.

It will run it, but not very well at higher settings

That 8 months warranty changed my mind! the specs are great for that price and if you don't have any problems in 8 months then the unit was fine when you got it.

Anything around that's a similar entry level gaming laptop with a touchscreen? Was able to pick up one open box for ~$500 a few years back for my son and am looking for something similar for my daughter for this holiday season. With a touchscreen would have jumped in this for even a bit more.

that is one beautiful game by the looks of it. I'll doubt many laptops could run it on high.

HP warranty varied by user, some had 7 or 9mo. The HP care app keeps tabs on it and one user sent one in for heat issues already. I'm just a light casual user for streaming media so heat and fan noise isn't an issue for HTPC.

Howz the build? Is it more plastic ?
Is all plastic but it's pretty sturdy. I don't notice any flex on the keyboard.

I just bought this for $450

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus...merreviews

Should I return it and wait for this one? Gaming isn't my concern but upgradeable ram would be a nice to have
