advantage of jailbroken iPhone?
free sh!tttttt pretty much lol. jailbreaking was definitely more popular back in the day and it's dying in popularity because apple incorporated most of the jailbreak tweak we wanted in their latest iPhones now

Verizon doesn't lock iphones and I believe some other carriers only require you to keep the phone on your account for a certain number of days. I did the Walmart deal online last year to get the new at the time 11 pro max. It was fairly painless for me. Then went and traded in my old 8 plus to Apple for a $300 gift card to cover the cost of Apple Care on the new phone. For Verizon customers, I've seen many "deals" that you will only qualify for credits on a trade in if you have an unlimited plan. Thats a big NO for me as I have 10gb and it would be $30 more a month!! This year, the deal is for last years models, so I'd be cautious on what you are actually paying for the phone itself after inflated pricing and if you are getting fair value for your trade. Mobile Carriers are not generous when taking your old device, so check Apple, Amazon, Best Buy etc. for a comparison.
Khatndi, sounds like you and I have the same plan. My wife and I share 10GB between the two of us. Have you found a deal that allows you to upgrade without changing plans and not adding a new line?

Just got Sams Club holiday savings book. Looks like they are not doing 1 day sale rather savings week. I didn't find any deals on iphones or samsung phones on that.

Unfortunately no. The Walmart/Sams/Target Black Friday gift card offers are the only ones I've personally come across and done in the past, however, our local Sams and Target no longer sell Verizon, so they are out. I will also look at Costco as they might offer an upgrade deal which would be a $200 or something Costco gift card without changing plans. I'll wait until there is a deal for the iphone 12s as I do not want to increase my monthly bill for the unlimited just to get Verizon's lousy device credits - which are inflated prices to start with on last years phones. Patience will be key!! 😉

good deal but iPhone 11 is old tech.....
Old tech that 95% of people would be perfectly fine with. I am more looking at the iPhone 11 Pro for my wife as I am an Android user. If the Pro can be had for $400 that's a great deal. What would she be missing out on? Useless 5G radio? (we live in a rural area) A chip that is faster but doesn't really help improve the day to day? MagSafe? (lol, look at MKBHD video and see how weak that wallet magsafe holds to the phone). I think my wife would be VERY happy with a 11 Pro triple camera set up and 1.5 day battery life. I can't stand iOS but this is a pretty good deal depending on day of pricing.

Thoughts on 12 pro max vs this deal on the 11 pro max? 5g is not important to me so leaning towards the 11 pro max deal.

So it bill credits? Can't paid it off? Hopefully Sam's can match it.
Just a FYI, Sam's Club only sells AT&T phones and plans; they no longer sell Verizon or Sprint

I am trying to figure out the retail price at this time (also wondering if they knocked $100 off since the release of iPhone 12). However, most models listed on the sales ad are out of stock (not counting the marketplace sellers).

The only contract model I could find in-stock is the iPhone 11 Pro 64GB, and multiplying their monthly rates equate to $849 ($150 off original MSRP)–Apple is also no longer officially selling the 11 Pro.

If they don't raise their prices for the BF sale, one can expect to get the 11 Pro for $400 after GC. Note, this is before tax (on $849) and activation/upgrade fee from the carrier.

Some folks mentioning they don't care for device payment. Since the discount is coming from Walmart in a form of a GC (and not monthly bill credits), you can always pay it off early and own the device.
So you can just do the deal and pay it off and not have too pay monthly for 2 years??

This was a sweet deal when I got my XR for 250 without a trade in. I paid 650 and got a 400 WM GC (essentially cash imo).
I did that same exact thing. Paid for my PS5!!!

Is the iphone 11 able to be used on any carrier? Is it locked with Sprint or Att? I know someone said verizon is 60 days. Do you have to get certain unlimited plans??

it does not matter much, at most you can down pay 20% to walmart

the remaining has to be paid to carrier
