How hot does this one get? Looking for sous vide sear, 500+ Anyone ever put a temp gun on it?
I seasoned my new Blackstone 22" (adjustable leg model) last night. Inferred temp gun measured 694* in the center, 542* at the very front edge/lip, with both burners set on high. Specs say 500. Get the metal kitchen bench scrapers at Dollar Tree to slide over the sides of the griddle to use as wind guards, retain heat. Need 2 per side.
If you are looking for this as a portable camp grill, I would think twice. It is pretty heavy and not very portable. I ended up returning this one and went with the Weber Q series and Love it!

Thats impossible because this one isn't even available to buy yet. It won't be until the BF sale begins. You bought the previous model.
Walmart had the stainless steel grill scrapers for $1.50 the other day. I bought 2 in hopes of getting a Blackstone this year. They are about 6" wide and have almost a knife edge on them.

Is this the real Black Friday price? Will it be lower by then?
Not sure... I am still searching for the batteries for my Gen 3 crystal ball. I checked my wind up one and it said "No," .... but it has been wrong before.
Dont understand the point of a griddle. A $10 cast iron pan on an electric stove does the same thing.
More cooking area, but you could use two skillets on the stove.
Me, I use a small or large cast iron griddle on the grill because I like the smoke flavor and it keeps the smells outside. Most use this if collapsible for RV/camping and such, whereas we still use a Coleman that uses white or unleaded gas.... no concerns of running out of propane.
So could I use this as a tabletop? Just remove the main griddle from the stand?
looking at the instruction manual its no longer an option to lift off, since its a rollie cart and the legs attach. to the griddle. Last years version would be a lift off but no rollie

Where did you find the the manual for it? Been trying to find out more details about it before I decide if I want to purchase this or not.

If you grill burgers you won't anymore after cooking burgers on one of these.
