Gonna wait for the sequel - Cow 2: Udder Chaos
For those of you who know nothing about this, I'll give a brief summary.

It's really a story of friendship. It follows two men in the Pacific Northwest in the 1800's who steal the first cow to arrive in that area so they can milk it to make cakes to sell.

It's kind of slow, but very sweet and endearing. And the cow is cute, so I'd say it's worth $0.99.
This is an A24 release, which means it is almost certainly going to become available to stream for free on Amazon Prime Video soon. They often run this 99-cent rental deal right before that happens.

If you like Kelly Reichardt's other films you will probably enjoy this. If you didn't, then you probably won't.

I haven't heard of any of her previous films, but this one caught my eye.

Generally really like her films, but they're not for everyone. They're very minimalist, and it can feel like they're slow and nothing happens. A lot does happen, the story is just told in this very low-key manner.

So, it's like 75% of all French movies made since 1960 is what you are saying.

Unfortunately not familiar with French movies. Took a deep dive into Australian movies about 15 years ago, and Russian movies about 10 years ago. Tried to watch every movie that showed up on "best of" Australian and Russian film lists from google searches. Could try to do the same with French movies, but let's be honest: there's waaaaay too much content to keep up with nowadays.

You can't possibly watch everything that's around. It would take forever!

A24 produces some of the best movies. I will watch pretty much any movie if it's produced from A24.
