its too big for only 1080p, you will be able to see the pixels. not a bad deal its just not ideal on the specs.

Bullshit, you won't see pixels unless you like to pretend to be an elitist and sit stupid close to a 32 inch screen. Anyone will find problems to complain about if they want to find problems.

I have a curved Acer 32", also just 1080p, and i'm typing on it right now, sitting 2.5 feet away from it , have perfect 20/20 vision and the screen is perfectly fine for text, videos and images. I game on it too. Will you see finer, sharper display on a QHD screen at the same size and distance, yes, but nobody is going to see pixels at typical, practical use scenarios.

For a monitor most will agree 1080p on a 32" is doodoo but you do you bro.

1080p was designed to have ideal pixel density at a 30 degree FOV which would require you to be about 4 feet away from a 32" screen. Considering most people don't have 4 foot deep desks I would agree this is too big for 1080p, but in the off chance someone is planning to use this from 4-6 feet away (~6 feet being maximum recommended distance for this curvature), that does not apply.
This is the only comment so far with actual substance.

This monitor is not meant for high end pc gaming so it seems silly treating it as such. This is perfectly suitable for the majority of pc gamers. If you have gpu performance of 2070 or better, you shouldn't be looking for a gaming monitor at this price point/specs. Performance of your peripherals should reflect your hardware's capability. This is still a good deal, it's just not a $350+ gaming monitor for $155.

Yep. The deal is just good. Unfortunately at 32" the minimum resolution should be 2K. 1080p with this creen size does not really look neat. I guess if someone does not mind seeing the pixels, this is a good deal.

hahahahahahaha

then you've never seen a 1440p. your monitor shouldn't look like your TV.

it's night and day. 1080p on an ultrawide is ASS, plain and simple.

no thanks, ill stick to my CRT. a real monitor
I assume you still have your BetaMax player as well?

I mean I thought I was bad still using my 13 year old 24" Dell Ultrasharp, but CRT is a level of desk real estate and antiquity I would just not be willing to commit to, no matter how good a CRT is resolution and color reproduction wise. I mean I assume you are using at least a 22inch one with ~2200x1440 resolution?

All these comments about it being too big for 1080p are literally insane. I have a 1080p 55inch tv and i have to be 2-3 inches from it to see the pixels. Most likely what you're seeing is something other than pixels but more like screen tearing or motion artifacts probably from your pos gpus.

I had a 27" in 1080p and it was already terrible. Can't imagine how bad 32" at 1080p is.
I use a 27" from last Black Friday. Is 1080p but at USD 80, that was slick.

My main gripe is lack of multiple hdmi input but forgiven at the right price

bro get a 1440p monitor. You have no idea how ridiculous you sound haha I have 27inch 1440p monitor and a 27inch 1080p in front of me all day everyday at my desk with the same background. The 1440p is so much crisper its night and day.

General rule of thumb is anything over 24inch you get 1440p. 24inch and under is 1080p. I can't even imagine how much worse a 32inch 1080p monitor looks. Sorry, dude but I think you're just trying to make yourself feel better by calling people with 1440p monitors "elitist" lol
don't argue with poor people who can't afford more than 1080p.

Oh yea? Tell me more... how do you game at 4k at 160 frames a second? It's not about computer monitor vs tv they both are largely limited by bandwidth. It has only become feasible this year to game at 4k on any system greater than 30 frames a second. This is why you guys are full of bs. And even if you have a 4k monitor, you sneer your nose and claim you're rich because you gaming at 1440p or 4k? Wow look at you -- why are you even on a deal site such as slickdeals if you're so rich?

There are technical limitations to A) most graphics cards and B)bandwidth of most cables connecting to the monitors. Unless your using display port or hdmi 2.1 you aren't gaming faster than 4k at 30fps.

And lastly, Acer products are almost always bottom of the barrel. They cut every corner possible to get cheap prices. I don't know the quality of this monitor but the people claiming that it isn't adequate for gaming are full of sheet.
