That's because you own the team name, you don't own people. People aren't yours to be owned. If the distinction bothers you so much that it stands out in your mind that you need to complain about it, that only highlights your own fragility. Get over it.

Lol they'll prob write you a check for $88 instead of bothering to send someone over to fix your $88 TV. Or send you a new TV entirely.

For those interested, my local stores had this model on display so I could see the quality.

This is insanely cheap. I've paid this much for a Roku box before! I think Roku must be starting to subsidize TVs someway....🤔

From what I saw in-store my biggest complaint would be the poor viewing angles. The TV was set on Vivid so the colors popped.

I would not trust any of the reviews on the Wal-Mart page for these products as they are all by "Spark Reviewers". I'm guessing they struggled to sell these units and this is their way to get rid of inventory.

Have to keep the revenue growth up or the stock price goes down.🤨

I get why the players felt uncomfortable and, that being the case, I'm glad they are changing what they call it. You are right that they don't "own the team" but they own a lot more than a name. It's more appropriately called a business or more commonly (than business) called an "organization". And they do own the organization, like any business owner.

As I'm thinking about it and typing it out, I do think I like the distinction that they "govern" the team (as a team is a group of people), but they certainly own the organization and I wouldn't take issue with anyone, media or otherwise, phrasing each that way.

I don't think Roku is, but maybe the streaming services pay to have their name on a button on the remote. Note that not all TVs and streaming devices have the same quick access buttons.

Never used a Roku TV or box before. Do I need a Roku account in order to use this TV? For example, youtube, cable channel, etc.? What is the Roku account for? I hate to pay for a Roku account just for using this cheap TV.

No, you don't need to pay for a Roku account, and in fact you don't need to use the Roku services at all. You can use it simply to stream local media, play videos off an attached USB drive, connect it to a cable box or AV receiver, or watch broadcast TV using an antenna.

Roku website says that you need to activate the Roku TV with a Roku acct, although the acct is for free. I don't know what "activate" means. So without the activation, the TV won't turn on?!

I mainly use the TV to watch the youtube. For Roku TV, does it have the youtube app built-in already? Or can I download the youtube app to the TV, like a android device? How about the chrome browser, can I download that to the Roku TV?
