I still don't understand the thumbs down on the critical comments on this TV. It's literally a waste of $88. This won't last 6 months and y'all will be complaining here in the next couple months
Get the 3 year warranty from Walmart for $10.

Last Christmas we gave my MiL the $59 40" from MicroCenter. It blew her away, as she has no clue just how cheap TVs are now.

If I'm using this for gaming and don't care about sound (I have a headset), why wouldn't I buy this?
if you assume the input lag is bad (idk what it actually is) and you care about 120Hz (would have to spend a lot more than this to get that)

i'll buy the 88 just to test it out as a pc monitor and compare to my tcl 43s405

i have very low expectations. And if i had to guess, there's probably checkerboard dithering pixelation and huge lag when hooked up to a pc.

according to specs, this shit is made by Element, which has a full line of shit tvs
That's crazy but nobody asked

How do these compare to Insignia? I have a 32in Insignia that the sound started echoing after 1 year, would love to replace it for under $100 but don't want to deal with the same issue.

I have 37" Sharp LCD TV from 2005. The colors on it are incredible, but the blacks are pretty bad and the cfl backlighting is starting to get a little uneven. It also only has 1 HDMI input. It's only occasionally used as a bedroom TV with a Fire Stick 4K. Any opinions on whether I should (try and) get this TV as a replacement?

A 70 for $300 os a deal. I still think bf or after will have same or better deal even if they are spreading it out this year. There were so many fomo moments last year. Deals were coming out every week and beating previous deals.

If you are too high and mighty for an 88$ tv, you should skip. For those on a budget or in need, $88 tv will be just fine.

If we have people over, it's usually for some football or basketball game that's on an over-compressed 720p cable TV channel. A $300 TV won't display that any worse than a $3,000 TV given the underlying content will be of awful quality.

If we have people over for a movie night, I have an LG C9 in my home theater and a Samsung KS8000 in my den.

And the food we serve is always fantastic, thank you for asking. My wife makes the best guac.
what size of LG and Samsung's you have? How about sharing that guac recipe?

I wonder what the chances are of scoring that $88 TV. At least I'll save $88 when I don't get it. Lol

Virtually no chance. They're putting a relative handful on sale to draw attention to the fact their Black Friday deals are starting early. National news outlets have run stories on this TV deal. There will be millions, literally millions, of people trying grab them tonight... including people running sophisticated shopping bots that skip over the checkout procedure. Good luck getting Walmart.com to even load the checkout page before these are gone.
