Yes, it did for me. I bought the doorbell 2 w/ protect plus from Costco. When my spotlight went out they replaced it under the plan.

Mine lasted 21 months and no longer powers on now. Since the doorbell is my only Ring device, I only had the Protect plan - Ring will not repair or replace it.

Did you upgrade your transformer to a higher va ?I think I read somewhere that this doorbell pro has an internal battery which is not replacable . So if your transformer is not strong enough it supplements the power from the internal battery which eventually dies. Not sure how true this is but sounded logical
