Fair not to watch them, but I'll say at this point if he's getting royalties it's probably literally pennies if that, might even be zero. He wasn't a producer and its been 20 years, they get less and less over time. also might get no royalties for streaming/Blu-ray either depending on terms.
And I literally don't want to contribute even one penny.

In that case, I don't want anyone to profit anything from any of his movies. Salva can just disappear once no film company will hire him.
You don't care that he raped a 14 year old? I mean, that's not exactly what you said, but when you're convicted of crimes, that's no longer about your "personal life".
I do care and that's horrible but unlike you I can separate the creative from that side. I care more about that output and the movies. Same with Roman Polanski and the couple good movies he made including The Pianist. To a lesser degree, Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise are still always on my watchlist, especially Mel with his directing. Life isn't black and white and there's a lot of crazy stuff in between.
I don't know anything about the politics here but the movies were surprisingly really good. They give you that can't be flavor but are actually really well done. Right in the sweet spot. And I like the monster here because it defies all expectations. Thumbs up. That said – I am thumbs down on Blu-ray's. More physical objects for somebody to sell at auction when I kick the bucket.

Nice assumption.
I too can separate the product from the producer.
That doesn't mean I won't weigh in on the person and warn others.
I actually own this set and the monster is truly one of the great movie creatures of horror.
Victor Salva is a real life monster though and many aren't even aware.

Sorry man, your response to me rubbed me worse than it was given what others were saying (now deleted). The movie creature is one of the best IMO. Maybe it took a real life monster to make it. Some scenes with the HS boys in #2 get new context knowing his history.
