ATT loyalty department offered me the following during my call with them on 10.23.2020 iPhone XR 64GB $48.99, 128GB $98.99 ATT plus tax as the upfront cost, no installment plan with a 2 yr commitment
While the activation fee with the loyalty department is $45/line, they were able to waive the this fee for me. I believe the price just dropped since the XR price was $100 more on 10.19.2020.

what about for new customers?
There's always some kind of deals for new customers but barely any for existing customers.

Did you have to add a new line or upgrade? What data plan did you get. I'm currently under one of their older plans with roll over data.

all loyalty deals have to be on unlimited plan, upgrade or new line will work.

This is great if you don't have a single device to trade in. FYI if you're on an older plan you need to move up to a more modern share plan or unlimited or else you pay a higher line fee.

But if you can, trade in and just get the 12. Did this for my mom and sis, they are paying $1.67/mo for the next 30 months for brand new iphone 12's 128GB.

On most of the new style AT&T plans they have a caveat that If your line is in a subsidize equipment contract, your individual line fee is generally higher than the cost of what it would have been to add the installment for the phone. For example; their old 3GB plan was billed at a $40 Base + $20 for phone access + $20 for phone in contract for $80. Compared to $40 Base + $20 Phone access + installment.(Xr is like, $16.67/Mo right now).

That is very true except my phone is all paid off so no installments for me. 😀

Because Verizon is the largest provider in the United States. AT&T is now #3 which explains why they've had some of the most aggressive offers in the past year or so.

Good luck!

What did you trade in?

I am either doing loyalty or trading a 7 in to get an 11 for $5 a month. 30 months

Just be aware this can impact your ability to qualify for any installment offer for 30-36 months (read the contract)... I took advantage of this deal for 2 iphone x 2 years ago and although the website said I was upgrade eligible for the iphone 12 trade-in both orders were rejected after processing and after multiple call/hours on the phone it was determined because of the loyalty deal (my date to take advantage was mid-21). Fortunately I've been a customer for well over a decade and after 3hrs of back and forth they pushed through my iphone 12 orders.
