Nice find OP... finally a deal on a 55" premium TV... like you said... probably a mfg thing; Walmart has it too. Costco also has their version (Q8DT) at this price, and theirs includes 5 yrs total warranty. RTINGS review attached for those interested.

I am beginning to think Premium are only TV's that are capable of 4k@120. Yes, this is a great TV, don't get me wrong. But, for me, There are no TV's worth purchasing unless they are capable of 4k@120. Which, for me, is also unfortunate. Not about to spend $1000 on a TV lol. So, I wait. Likely 2-3 more years. And, I am aware of the X900H, but the jury is still out on that one at least for me. I think in 2-3 years decent size + solid 4k@120will be viable and easily attainable $ wise.

I could be wrong, but this tv has 120hz and 4k so that would mean it does them both at the same time, right? Or wrong?

*Edit - it is capable of 4k at 120hz with hdmi2.1 according to Samsung

nope, sure doesn't mean that... two separate things that they mash together in the main description of the TV to attempt to fool people.

Again, I may be confused (it's not difficult) but it seems it only didn't hit 120hz at 4k because there wasn't an HDMI2.1 source available. I'm reading the following as it is (or should be) capable:

"This TV supports most common resolutions. It's advertised as being able to display 4k@120Hz with chroma 4:4:4 and 10-bit color depth on its HDMI 4 input. However, we were only able to get it to display an image at 4k @ 60Hz, using the same computer and settings that we had used to test the Q90R. It likely requires an HDMI 2.1 source, which there are none of at the moment. We will retest this once we have a proper source and provide an update."

huh, i stand corrected. didn't read the review commentary, just went to the supported.

just going through Samsung's site/manual and man they're wishy-washy about the specs of the TV and supported inputs... so i guess it's a "maybe" Wink

75" is $2,197 which is $400-$500 less than BBY and any other authorized retailer. They may adjust once they see it but right now it's considerably less. I might do this instead of the Q90T at $2597 as they are pretty close in real life performance.

Go with the 900H. Rtings says the Samsung is better but if you are judging by this video https://youtu.be/XGmq8P5mPPQ the 900H is far superior imo.
