wobble extensions aren't a big deal, and you'll probably end up needing them for other suspension repairs.

yup.. i have an air compressor for nail guns and auto tire inflations.

while its cheaper to buy air tools, the additional step of air compressor for fastening applications, is too much additional work added to these projects/ tasks.

i bought a milwaukee 3/8" rachet last year during a huge price drop and this dewalt will take care of the impact side of the job..

My bought my Dewalt XR Impact brushless (1/4) as an open box for $75 2.5 years ago on eBay and that's been the best purchase ever. The 3 speeds allow me to use it for normal drilling as well as even creating 1 inch holes in framing studs. It's awesome. I never have any need for any type of power screw driver. It covers everything all the way up to my hammer drill needs.

I have the same exact car! And I used the brushed nonXR version. It's too big to fit behind without one of those 90 degree adapters.

It did work though, just spray some penetrant and make sure you tighten with torque wrench

How easy it is to get a socket on/off a detent ball vs hog ring depends on the design of the socket. Sockets with drilled detent holes can be quite difficult to remove from a detent ball where sockets with ground detent notches are usually easier to remove than drilled detent holes in my experience. The diameter of the detent hole can also make a difference in how easy the socket is to remove as well as the depth of the detent notch if the socket is so equipped.

I.e. the same anvil might be easier/harder depending on the socket design!

I just purchased this. What all can I do with this as a casual DIYer? I saw some not recommend for lug nuts as it will over tighten.

Well isn't that what a torque wrench is supposed to finish off after tightening?

I srtrongly recommend this.
I have the mid-range one and it does not work with some stubborn bolts and nuts, especially if you have an old car. I torched and tried pry-bar and the mid-range wrench, none of them work. Then I went to store and bought the high torque one. The bolt came off in 20 seconds. WTF

I still have a Dewalt 18v and it's holding strong. Just bought house so need some new tools but I'm holding out for the Mikita 40v XGT line.

This is really good! I'm leaning towards the mid-range due to size and weight. My primary and only use would be for changing tires. I'll be waiting for this deal too! Hopefully it comes back!
