Dang this seems like a sweet price for 34" UW 144hz w/IPS. Only downsides I can see are no curve (subjective as to likes) and 250nits brightness, but both of these are minor cons given the value. But this thing even has a 3yr warranty which is stellar. Nice find!

Rtings change the best ultrawide gaming monitor recently and put this one as the top VS the LG 34GN850-B. the 2 different is this one have BFI (Black Frame Insertion) and the cheap price.

I'm a fan of Acer as well. I had a warranty issue come up on a 34" UW I got from them years back and their service was hassle free in my experience.

brightness kinda scares me a little.
but checks all the specs for gaming. minus being flat.
wouldn't recommend for content/editing but everything else looks good!

Wanted to get a 27" 1440 144Hz to go alongside another 27" but since it's dieing maybe I should get an ultrawide for productivity and gaming...

What do you all think about the flat vs curve for a monitor this size?

Take it for what this is worth. My second hand information from a friend who got this and then later the LG 850 he feels the LG is miles better based on brightness. I'm still conflicted... but if your budget excludes the LG this is a killer monitor

legit question. only thinking of it because I need to split screen for work and this has decent reviews for that

Thank you very much for pointing this out. 250 nits seems pretty low.
The LG 27GL850-B looks great!
Checking it out I saw the LG 27GL83A-B was down to $380 and seems to be near identical to the 850 (at $500) minus some color gamut and color volume for an extra $120.
Do you think it's worth it for the extra bump or not? The 83A looks great, unless you know something wrong with it.
The reviews on rtings are near identical.

Thanks again for everyone's help Smilie

I've been tracking the 83a for 34 size and it's identical to the 850. Based in my info you are safe to go for the 83a
