For those who missed the earlier sale, looks like the Air Pods Pro are back at $199.99 on Amazon and B&H.

Last time I got a fake pair even though Amazon was the seller. It may be worth a little more to buy from a legit retailer and save some hassle.
So you paid 208.89 then
The color was off on one of them (it was sort of yellowish) and it wouldn't do transparency/NC modes. Also the serial showed up with Apple as already having Applecare+ as of 6 months prior even though it came sealed in the box. It was just weird overall. I returned it to Amazon and bought it at Sam's when they had it for $220. I think I remember Staples had it for $199 too but I already had the Sam's one.

I guess that's true. I still think it wasn't too bad if you had the option to use those, stuff in the $150 range would be optimal for that and wanted airpod pros. money off is money off to me shrug.

"I had a $200 gift card I got for Christmas and bought these from Apple on release day for $50. Great deal if you can get it!!"

That's what you sound like.

Was wondering if we may see $150-$175 for BF. I see the regular AirPods are $99 on November 4th from Walmart.
Isn't the regular Airpods $129, making it a $30 discount. Apple has tight control over their pricing, so I wouldn't expect more than $50 off.

You didn't mention the poor battery life. I work in a noisy environment and with ANC on, they're just ok. They Sony XM3 earbuds do a better job of noise cancelling, but the AirPods fit better for me.
I get the occasional issue where they lose sync like my beats used to do. Overall they're fine, but you did hype them up a little bit. The next version needs better noise cancelling and more battery life.

Bc I mentioned they have good battery life, particularly for my use case. So it's subjective. And is the battery life really "bad" or are they just "not as good" as some other product? I don't make a comparison to another product since, it would be anecdotal.

And is it hype when I'm mentioning general features and my experience? these headphones are pretty good at a lot of things, even though they may not necessarily be "the best" At 1 or 2 things. Again, I can't compare them to the all the other manufacturers bc I would be lying.

You got it wrong. Amazon is an Apple authorized reseller, Woot is not. Big difference. You will have zero issue with getting AppleCare if purchased through Amazon as the seller.

I hadn't realized that Amazon somewhat recently had become an authorized retailer.

I just looked online and it appears that you cannot add AppleCare through online after purchasing the AirPods. You have to either call or go into an Apple store for them to run a diagnostic. I will try this and see what happens.

Thank you for pointing this out.

Na, they are $159 regular price. So far there is a $60 discount. And I'm not sure, but I think the way it works is Apple sells them to outlets and the outlets/carriers can discount them up to a certain amount to consumers.

Black Friday sales are always a disappointment (for the most part)

Ain't that the truth. The past few years have been a huge disappointment. That's why now, I mostly buy throughout the year because if you catch the deals at the right time, they are sometimes better than BF sales.

Yes, agree. Black Friday used be retailers day to push sales, but with slickdeals or retailmenot these useful sites made retailers realize they can do it all year long. So they dont have to wait till BF to push.

If you happen to see a long line in front of best buy and people still camping to get a deal? those guys are stupid. period.

Then you have to look for Apple's original wired headphones that look similar to AirPods 1 or 2. But in my experience they're not easy to fall off your ears, I run with my AirPods 2 and they never fall off, hasn't tested with AirPods pro yet. Also, I prefer the tightness on AirPods 2 over AirPods pro.

It literally says $99, save $30. You're right though, the MSRP is $159. Weird as every where has it listed as $129.

How do you avoid tax? I'm still paying local tax at target

Red card 5% discount essentially wipes out my local tax. So still paying it, but after the 5% is taken off.

Best buy will price match Amazon last I checked. someone mentioned that they've gotten fake items from Amazon, that's totally true it's happened to me on numerous occasions and your best bet is to get some legitimate retailer, not b&h, to price match and buy in person.

I bought these a few weeks ago at this price. The sound was great, but they hurt my ears so bad I couldn't wear them and had to return. After looking, this is a common issue. I really wanted to love them.
Exactly this. I thought it was only me. I loved the original Airpods

Ok, I've never considered buying these because I run every day with my cheap urlhasbeenblocked Cheetah Bluetooth headphones that cost like $15 on a slick deal and they do a good enough job. I never use them for anything else. I also run in the rain with those without worry. Are these worthy of the price difference and also water resistant/proof? Would love to hear from other runners. I imagine I may use these for more than just running as well.

Not rated as waterproof but mine did survive the washing machine last week. 😬
